A girl sits at the dining table and peers out of the window. Rain falls from the dull grey sky.
A peaceful ballad plays from her laptop, filling the silent room with a soothing melody. She touches the paper cut on her right pinky subconsciously, and winces in pain.
She feels as though her heart is going to collapse in guilt. The guilt of causing unintentional pain to a friend.
"It's not your fault.", read a note which he passed to her in class. She looked up at him, he sat in his chair, leaning on his elbows on the table. His hands were buried in his hair, hiding his face from her view.
She wondered why she was still blaming it on herself.
