Just how real is realism?
In this post-modern society I have noticed that everyone want's everyone else to be 'real' with them or that things proposed be 'real' in some fashion or another. Well I propose something different. Most people don't want what's real. They don't want to be told they're just dumb or they're just ugly, or they're just wrong. Oh no, people want it nice and soft and easy. "You could get smarter" "You can wear make-up/ have surgery" "You learn from your mistakes." Well isn't that a load of dung! You want real? Real is: you're all pathetic!
OK ok... just how real was that? Not really. That paragraph, aside from seething with bitterness, merely represents a reactionary position from post-modernism. While the above paragraph was just a hyperbole, too many "realists" often project their version of realism without the advent of hope. Hope, isn't a counteractive argument to realism. HOPE is realistic. And we can have hope. For those of us who have the Holy Spirit, we know that hope is in us because of He who is in us. If we were to forsake that hope, joy won't be far forsaken. The opposite of hope is dispair. And the opposite of real is an illusion. Hope is real. And it can be yours. If you trust Him.

Things to Think On. Or to make fun of (or with - both are technically wrong to say but I have no solution). Your choice.
