Oh! Mr.Jennings! ♥ : Volume 2
So. It's been awhile. We've done a Catcher In the Rye project, and a poetry project since then.

The Catcher In the Rye project... Eh. I don't even want to think about it.

It makes me feel a little... gonk

You know?

But anyway. I'm pretty sure Mr.Jennings is completely creeped out, and disappointed, by me by now.

You can't really describe it... What the things I do are. It's not really awkward. It's not really weird...

Maybe I just seem a little too... Shocking? I don't know.

The last facial expression I caused him to have seemed to be shocked. He started off with a kind of eek , and ended at a confused during my poetry presentation.

It wasn't that bad, was it?

The first poem assigned to us was our Introduction Poem. We had to write a 'poem' that had one sentence per line, stated four truths and four lies about us, and had our names as the beginning and ending lines.

Mine was...

Introduction Poem

I am Jaimie Barber.
I always want to stay.
I can’t wait to leave.
I never hallucinate.
Rain freezes on my skin.
I love myself.
My dreams are illuminated by street lamps.
I feel extremely comfortable lying to you.
But I really like your shoes.
I am Jaimie Barber.


I don't see anything wrong with that. What, in that, could possibly creep someone out?

"My name's Jaimie Barber." And, well, it is.
"I always want to stay." I usually take about five more minutes than the others to leave the classroom. I don't want to leave...
"I can't wait to leave." I always watch the clock, waiting for it to get to the time to leave... But once it's there, I'm always sad. I always forget to enjoy living.
"I never hallucinate" is my first lie. I hallucinate pretty often. I don't mean to.
"Rain freezes on my skin" is my second lie. Sometimes I feel like it should, it doesn't really. Maybe rain freezes on my skin in an emotional sense.
"I love myself" is my third lie. I feel too confused about everything to form any opinion about myself.
"My dreams are illuminated by street lamps" is something I consider to be true. I think that I'm going to be a homeless loser someday.
"I feel extremely comfortable lying to you" is my fourth lie. Because of how confused, confusing, hypothetical, and il/logical everything I think is, I rely on honesty as my only way of determining acceptable social behaviors.
"But I really like your shoes" is the truth... A variation of my favourite pick-up line,"Nice shoes. Wanna ----?"
"I am Jaimie Barber." Hey. I really wanted them to know, alright? wink

See? See? None of it's scary. Why would people say that it's weird? Simply, four truths and four lies. Nothing creepy...

Pretty much just word-association that circles back to the beginning at the end.

I started off with angels because I really like angels and heaven. Thinking about heaven makes me calm. Angels.

Angels are in charge of judging us, and telling us what is right and wrong. Justice.

But often, angels don't seem to understand complex emotions. Blindfolds.

When blindfolded, we could seem innocent. Lilies.

Virginity is sometimes considered a mark of innocence, and where does deflowering take place? On Satin Sheets.

Sheets in hospitals need changing. That's why there're nurses. Nurses.

Nurses also sometimes use syringes. Syringes.

If the syringes aren't cleaned, they can spread disease. Disease.

I love Jazz. Jazz is like a disease. Like in Chicago, where the girls' murders are said to be a result of the Jazz scene. Jazz.

There's a lot of odd rhythm in Jazz. Rhythm.

Life has a certain rhythm that you live, causing memories. Memories.

At the end of all your memory making, you die. Death.

Death leads back to Angels.

It all makes sense. But directly afterward, the preppiest girl in class stated,"I didn't follow that all."

How...? It confuses me a little. I thought that everyone would get the connections. They're obvious. But everyone seemed to sit there with a neutral sort of look...

Yeahp. That's what I'm naming my English homework. Oh! Mr.Jennings! heart will be the worst homework journal I've ever had. X3 Practically guaranteed, man.

Haha.. Speaking of Mr.Jennings. He probably thinks I'm stupid. In example...

Mara: It doesn't snow much in Florida.
Me: Here either, but when I moved here, it was muddy.
Mr.Jennings: ... *wanders over and watches our conversation with a blank stare*
Me: Maybe it snowed before it got muddy.
Everyone: *long pause*
Mara: *puts face in hand* Well, Jaimie, usually it precipitates before the dirt turns to mud.

We left last time with a bit of a cliffhanger. xd

Yes. A CLIFFHANGER. Remember how I said, "I don't feel like writing any more here... It's prettier on my rainbow paper."? Something like that?

BELOVED CHEMISTRY. Volume 2.
Mm-hmm. Volume 2, hm?

Might as well summarize Volume 1 for those who really don't care. I don't even know why I'm writing this as a half-cooked story, anyway.

But... I won't question it. If I did, I'd stay up many nights thinking.. And then realize that the real answer was 'dolphin' anyway.

SO. In my last entry I was all like AH, CRASH, BOOM, BANG, 4.87 E 14 Hertz!!

Yeah. And there were a few distractions like... Rainbow-coloured paper, bloody useless notes, and the sniffling nostalgic admiration/remembering of Mr. Jennings. Mr. Vance Jennings. heart Isn't that such a cool name? heart Mr. Freisz is an even cooler name, but Mr. Jennings is a newer name to me. Therefore, ultimate cool. heart

Yeah, distractions like that.

SO ANYWAY.

BELOVED CHEMISTRY: volume 2

I stared at the homework on my brilliant rainbow-coloured paper. Number 7 complete, and it "only" took an hour. I had the right answer within 15 minutes, but spent an hour fretting over it and checking it.

What a convenient girl that Jaimie is.

Let's take a look at #8.

Excited barium atoms emit visible light whose frequency is 6.59 E14 Hertz. What is the wavelength of this light? Use Figure 6.3 to predict its colour.

Now it's the opposite way. Alright. I can do this. Wavelength = speed of light / frequency.

3E8 / 6.59E14 = 4.55E-7 meters.

So that's... 455 nanometers, right?.... Maybe? sweatdrop That's blue. Like. Sky blue, I guess. Wait, barium? I thought that was light green!?

Ergh...

... But that has to be the right answer!

I'll.. I'll check it with someone else's work tomorrow.... cry

At least that went more smoothly than #7 did... Or maybe #7 went just as smoothly, but I was more jittery and afraid of the wrong answer more. confused

But that should be negative. Why isn't it negative?

So I get -2.18 E-18. That's my energy. Frequency is energy/Planck's constant.

-2.18E-18 / 6.626E-34 = -3.29E15 ... o.o; Negative frequency?

Ah, wait, I think I read the question wrong. I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing, I think...

Oh, okay!

( -2.18 E-18 ) x (( 1/3^2 ) - ( 1/1^2 )) = 1.93 E-18. Change in energy is positive, so energy is absorbed! heart

Exciting: Honors Chemistry
Well, I hope you realize that I'm kidding.

Or maybe I'm not.

I -do- tend to get a little over-excited about some things.

So anyway.

There's going to be a test in Honors Chemistry soon, so I'll need to study. Or actually, in my case, understand. I tend to sleep or daydream during class, so these notes that I've taken seem much like letters and numbers rather than equations.

I start my journey...

As I take the graphing calculator from my binder, I reflect on my decisions. Sciences have always been my worst classes. Math a close second worst.

I enjoy science and math.

I just spend most of my time daydreaming during class, so I never know what's going on. Even the most dull kids catch on before I do.

Oh, unicorns.... I wish I was unicorn.

Or a dolphin, swimming happily along... Jumping... Snickering at the pathetic humans. Those humans never could comprehend anything worth knowing. They never will, either.

But back on topic. I took out my graphing calculator.

Then I realized that my desk was a complete mess from my English project. Well, maybe I didn't use the deodarent, the camera, the dog, or the alarm clock and dozens of juice bottles for my English, but I can blame English for it all, and for this run-on sentence, darn that English!!

Oh! My favourite pen just rolled out beneath the mess.

Today must be lucky.

I cleared the desk.

And I might've been successful, too! If it weren't for those dratted dolphins on it!

Well, APPARENTLY, the Chemistry cliffnotes found the equation for frequency/wavelegnth too obvious to include in their book.

3E6/616 = 4870.12987 ... Hey, that's my answer I got in class, but before I used the other equation that looked complicated, so I thought I got it wrong.

Well, except it was 4.870 E 14 per second.

Oh dear. Labels. LABELS.

I swear I'm not an emo kid!

cry WHY MUST THE 4.870 BE LABELED?! Why?! I feel its pain! I feel it!

Argh.

I got the right-ish numbers... And this calculator is saying that the 4.87 E 14 Hz is right, not the kHz E 3....
