Ch 2!!

Zora froze in the entryway, her mother ran in front of her to conceal Zora from the man's view. slowly she nudged her daughter back and closed the door, but Zora had seen the man's eyes flash in her direction.
"so it's true," Zora heard the man speak, footsteps came closer to the door that Zora was rooted to the spot behind.
"What is this about Seto" Zora's mother, Grace said forcefully on the other side of the door.
"How come you never told me about your kids?" the man called Seto asked in a tone that sounded as though he found out a secret.
"that's none of your business! it's been over 20 years and your still going on about sticking to the book?" Grace said sharply. Zora backed away, she could tell this was going to be one of those conversations in which she was taken away while her parents talked to someone they knew personally, or not too personally. she ran off down the hall to a staircase that would lead her to a higher level of the room that her parents were in.

she slipped in quietly, the guards that were usually posted there must have gone to the hallway to see if they could do anything.

pre-thingy___CHapter 1

ok, so some explaining is in need here... first of all, i'm going to be using my journal as a kind of story thingy. in reality i am attempting to write a story but i is getting writers block so this is in the same thing, only at the end of the story i am trying to write right now... i think i just confused myself... but anywho...

on the planet sorrel, 11th in the song universe, there is a continent in which there are 5 kingdoms, so to say, the 5? humans, elves, dwarves, beasts, and the amazonian wemon (working on name). this world works a little differently than earth, basically everything is the same for the people until they are about21, then they age about 1 year for every 5 that they live. think that a 26 yo will have aged only to 22.this story takes place of a human child, daughter of a king and his wife, both are secretive about the past but hey, parents are parents right? ok so the main character ios actually the child, but she'll be 15 here...

CHARACTER INFO:

Zora:15, female, main character, blue eyes and long white hair, daughter of a king, more you find out later!

Tai: 24, male, Zora's brother, green eyes and white hair, spends his time trying to become a pirate and to escape the label of "prince" (dude you inherit a kingdom why run???)><, has been away for a couple months

Koji: parent aged, father of Zora and Tai, husband to Grace, blue-eyed white hair, umm... king if you didn't guess

Grace: slightlyy younger parent age, green eyes and BLONDE hair (OMG one has a normal hair color?!?!!? ) queen and loves animals.

so here we Finally go, that was the family...

the sun stabbed at Zora's eyes as the blinds to her window were brutally ripped open by her mother.
"where is that daughter of mine?" Grace sighed sarcastically "it's her 15th birthady and she isn't here to get her present, and she didn't even bother making her bed!" grace looked at the lump of blankets that Zora had buried herself under and promptly sat on the largest of the lumps until she heard a muffled squeal.
"get off!! i'm up already!" Zora yelled as she escaped her mother's butt hold. "did you say something about presents by any chance?" she added.
you'll just have to come downstairs and find out then wont you?" her mother said slyly, getting up and walking towards the door, giving a small sign for Zora to get up and get ready. Zora attempted to go back to sleep but within 5 minutes of her mother's departure a maid came knocking at the door, by the sharp impatient taps, Zora knew that this was the elderly woman, not really a maid, more like a grandmother of the town who loved being in the middle of things.
"alright! i'm getting up..." Zora said, finally giving in she headed for the shower. a quick wash and she set off downstairs, as she passed through the stony hallways, an echo rang through her head, she continued on, not thinking about it until it came again and was louder than ever. Zora rushed into the great hallway to find her parents glaring at a lone man in the doorway, a couple table were lieing on their sides with the usual books that usually laid on tyhem now strewn about everywhere. the stranger was tall and had dirty blonde hair cropped short. his clothes were that of the usual sword school type, though his was armored more heavily than Zora had ever seen, perhaps he was a mentor . he held a broadsword a length towards Zora's father.
"so it seems you've been hiding something from me" the man said calmly in a rough voice, though his voice was casual, the look on his face was anything but. he pulled out a sickle dagger with a putrid yellow color clinging to it. "it's time we had a little talk then isn't it?"
