STORY TIME


As Ryaku stood out in the open field the morning of the Rising Ceremony he thought to himself, "I don't believe whats happened. The murders were more than enough but the fire.......why did this have to happen." Ryaku had been standing there for many hours as he was thinking to himself. "Those horrible images. The blood, the pain, and the heat.......why did this happen to me." Ryaku started walking down the hill as he heard a voice. He turned and saw his older sister, the only survivor of the blaze, 15 years ago.
"What are you doing out here Ryaku? The Rising Ceremony is going to start in a few hours." The Rising Ceremony was a traditional ceremony where The 18 year old boys were declared men. Were given the rank of soldier.
Ryaku looked at Lanna and said to her, "Lanna....how did you survive?"
"Luck," she stated.
