Blessings of the Moon
OH MY GOD! This was being a pain in my a** with the whole computer and stuff, but finally finished it! ^^ BTW this is a shounen-ai one shot, aka Boys Love, you don't like it, get out, but those who do like BXB enjoy ^o^

“Get out now!” A man’s voice boomed.
Seth ran out of the house covered in bruises as usual. Seth gave a small smile while giving the finger to his father. The father yelled out more, but Seth didn’t hear any of it as he walked away. He didn’t want anymore bruises.
As Seth walked down the streets, his body ached from his bruises. He should have been used to it by now, but he felt like crying from the pain. His hand reached his eye to wipe away a tear that was forming. He needed to be by someone and that person is Kain. They are from two different tribes, Seth is a werewolf that changes whenever he wants to while Kain is a vampire, but even then, Seth has feeling for him. Seth began to wonder why he has feelings for Kain, at the same time he wondered when.

Six months ago,
Seth was on the school’s rooftop, tears just running down his face. His body was badly bruised; he was bleeding from some of the cuts he had on his legs and arms. “Why do they do this!? I’ve been good, but they just keep on hitting me…..will this end if I kill myself…….ugh, I hate this.”
“Wow, are you okay?” A voice behind him asked.
Seth turned around to see a boy the same age as him, but with black blue hair along with deep blue eyes. “So, what are you crying about?” the boy asked.
Seth wiped away his tear, “I’m not crying.”
“You were crying, what’s wrong?”
Seth just turned his back on him, “It really doesn’t matter, and you probably don’t care.”
“I do care; you are always up here with those bruises and cut crying away.”
“…..Aren’t you a stalker…”
The boy laughed, “I guess I am in a way, but I am worried, would you like to talk about it?” He walked and sat right nest to Seth, “I’m Kain by the way.”
“…I’m Seth.”
The two just sat there, neither of them spoke a word. Seth thought that Kain would leave do to the silence, but he didn’t. He just sat there waiting for Seth to speak his story. “Well...” Seth started, but he couldn’t fill in the rest.
Kain smiled a bit and rubbed Seth’s head “Don’t force yourself, tell me whenever you are ready.”
Seth was about to cry right then and there, but he didn’t. He just nodded in response. He never felt a gentle touch in a long time, in fact never in his life.
They day grew to night as the sun set down. The two left without Seth talking about anything. Seth wanted to talk to Kain about it, but he couldn’t bring himself to talk about it yet. He neared his house only to feel his chest tightening with fright. He took a deep breath and opened the door; all he saw was beer bottles and wine bottles all across the floor. Shivers went down his spine as he heard footsteps around the corner. He didn’t turn around to see who it was he felt a blow to his face to know who it was. Punch after punch, his father kept on hitting him till more bruises fill his face and body.
The next day he went to school with more bruises and now some of them were on his cuts. He went around school looking around for the one person that wanted to know what was going on. He finally found him in an ironic classroom, his classroom. Kain just sat there giving a wave to him, but a frown was on his face. “Hey,” he said.
“Hey,” was all that could reply. Silence was between the two until the bell rang. Seth then said, “wanna talk later?”
“Sure, on the rooftop for lunch?”
When the whole school was out for lunch, Seth and Kain sat on the rooftop sitting in silence. “Sooo, are you going to talk?” Kain asked.
Seth took in a deep breath and started to explain his story. “Ever since I was young, my father kept on getting drunk off his a** every single day, never stopping for one bit. And everyday I kept on getting hit by his punches for no reason or one of the most stupid reasons ever. Not cleaning my room, not being home on time, being home on time, really weird, and for no reason at all.”
“What about your mother?”
“She doesn’t do s**t, she just ignores it all and go out with her friends, leaving me all alone with that drunken a** of a father, while at the same time she gets drunk of her a** too.”
“Wow, just….wow.”
“….Yeah, even though I should be used to it, I just can’t help it but cry whenever it happens.”
Kain put his arm around Seth, who made a little flinch, but he still pulled him closer to him. “That is one rough life you have, but remember I’m here for ya.”
Seth had a feeling that tears would run down his face at any minute. He quickly rubbed away the tears, “Sorry.”
“Don’t be, you can just cry.”
And that was what Seth did then. He felt embarrassed by crying in front of someone, Kain made him feel better. They skipped the rest of the school day; Seth’s eyes were red from all his crying, he cried so much that he just fell asleep. Kain looked at his sleeping face and just showed a grin that wasn’t to nice, “This is going to be interesting,” he muttered to himself.
Ever since that day, Seth went to Kain whenever he felt sad, or he felt scared that his parents might do something again. Kain always listened to what he said, never speaking a word, only listening to what he said. At other times they talk about random things like new bad bands, the most awful people, anything funny of the sort. Because Seth started to talk to Kain, people noticed that Seth smiled and laughed more than ever before.

Present time
Seth walked around, looking for Kain, who he finally found around a park entrance. But Kain was with a few others, Seth almost started to walk over until they began to talk.
“So Kain, what’s up with you and your play toy?”
“Oh yeah, that one Seth guy right?”
Kain had a satisfying smirk, “Oh him? It’s pleasant to see him cry in shock, to see him in so much pain.”
Seth’s jaw dropped, I’m sorry, say what? he thought.
“So what are you going to do?” one of them asked.
“Oh I’ll just mess with him till I put him down, that way I’ll see his crying face even more,” Kain said with an even more evil smile.
Seth couldn’t believe it, someone he trusted the most wants him to see him cry, like a personal toy that is played with till it breaks. A tear fell down his face in agony. Kain continued though, “His pain, it makes me feel better.”
“Ha-ha that is harsh!”
“Well, we gotta go, have fun!”
“Oh I will,” Kain laughed as they left. He turned around to see Seth standing there. “Oh, hey Seth.”
“Why?”
“Huh?.....Oh you must’ve heard it all didn’t ya?”
Seth didn’t answer; Kain went closer to him, “Are you going to cry?” He asked with joy.
Seth punched him, right across the face. Kain staggered back, shocked that Seth even did that. He was about to hit him back until he saw Seth’s face. Seth glared with anger, but tears of sadness wept down his face. “If all I am is to make your life so god damn happier, just because of the pain I have, then get the hell out of my life!” he yelled out, and then he ran off, not caring where.
Seth got to a small park that is by his house, and sat on one of the swings. His mind was racing with all his thoughts. Abusive parents, the one caring person that he liked betrayed him; both of these took a toll on him. He broke out crying again, not caring that he was like a kid that cried so much, he couldn’t take the pain anymore. So many emotions over the years just came out with one long tear.
The next day, he went to school, his eyes all red from the day before. He went to class and saw Kain, who looked at him in shock. “H-hey,” he said.
Seth ignored him and went to his desk. Seeing him made him think on how much a fool that he believed in such an a** like him. Lunch came around the school day; Seth ate alone this time for the first time in awhile. He began to think about how much he and Kain had fun talking about things during this time. He would have cried like usual but his tears ran dry from the day before. “Oh god,” he said, “I am such a fool.”
After the school day, Seth went around shopping, only for until the night, the usual time he went back home. He grabbed something to eat and bought a book. A normal love drama story, he was a sucker for romance stuff. The night fell upon the town and Seth was home, He opened the door to see his father looking right at him, impatient. “Do you have any idea on what time it is?”
“Uh, yeah, the time when I usually get home,” Seth said.
The father drew closer with a fist raised, “Watch it, and don’t get snotty with me.”
“I’m not getting snotty with you,”
The father’s fist raised some more, “I’m warning you boy,”
“Oh wow, the first warning you ever gave me, heh, ******** you!”
His father punched him across the face, which made him stagger a bit. “What did you say!?” His father’s voice went higher with yelling.
Seth winced but he just had enough with it all, “I said ******** you, you abusing self centered arrogant a** s**t!”
Another punch went on the same spot as the last time, a little blood coming out of Seth’s mouth. “You little ******** brat!”
Seth felt his cheek getting numb, since he couldn’t feel the blood at all, “Hit me all you want, that won’t change that you are the worst father ever!”
Blow after blow Seth started to take from his father, “you think I wanted to be a father!? I never even wanted you in the first place you piece of s**t!”
The door started to bang, “Open up! This is the police!”
Seth’s father froze, “s**t,” He went to the door, leaving Seth lying on the floor. “How my I help you officer?”
The door quickly opened with officers coming into the house, looking around, “The hell is going on!?” Seth’s father yelled at them.
One of the officers found Seth on the floor, showing bruises on his face, “Did your father do this to you?”
Seth didn’t say anything; He was too confused on what was going on. “Don’t worry, we are here to help you,” the officer assured him, “But did your father do this to you?”
Seth nodded slowly, his face hurt to even move his head. “Okay then,” the officer said, “Arrest him!”
The officers surrounded the father and took him away, with him yelling. “YOU PIECE OF s**t, I”LL GET YOU FOR THIS!”
Steps came from the stairway and out popped Seth’s mother, drunk as can be. “W-what’s going o-on?” she stuttered.
“Are you the mother?” the officer asked
“Of thwat boy, yea,” her words were mixed up.
“Your husband has abused your son, so we arrested him, he won’t be coming back.”
“Wha? But I wuv him, You CAN”T take HIM AWAY FROM ME!”
“Yeah, we can,” A familiar voice said right behind her. Kain walked on over and picked Seth up from the ground. “And I am taking him too.”
“Kain? What are you doing here?” Seth asked
Kain took Seth out of the house leaving the officer and Seth’s mother bickering at each other. “What are you doing?” Seth asked again to Kain.
Kain didn’t turn or anything, he kept on walking, “I’m taking you to my house.”
“Why?”
Kain didn’t say anything for awhile, but then he said, “I’m sorry Seth.”
“Why?”
“For everything that you heard, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings….I’m sorry.”
Seth was a bit shocked at that but then he felt relieved. That was the first time anyone said sorry to him. “I-it’s okay. But why are we going to your house?”
Kain stopped and turned to look straight at him. “I was saving this till we got back, but I guess I can tell it to you know.”
“Tell me what?”
The full moon of the night rose with Kain’s head in front of it. He smiled a wry smile, but the shine of the moon made it look like a shining smile. “I love you, everything about you. Your smile, your laugh, your tears, everything. I just want it to be only me that can see all your emotions, so will you go out with me?”
Tears of joy, the first ever in Seth’s life, filled Seth’s eyes. No one ever said anything like that, so his heart was filled with happiness. He nodded, “Yes, yes I will.”
Kain drew closer, locking Seth between him and his arms. They embraced as their lips were locked together in unison. Their kiss was blessed by the very same moon above them. They stopped though, “I taste blood,” Kain said licking his lips.
“oh that’s because of my dad’s punches….then again, my cheek hurts to kiss.” Seth laughed a little.
“Are you seriously okay?”
“I don’t know…”
“Should we stop?”
This time Seth was the one that drew closer to Kain, “Yeah, no, I want to continue.” And so they did, right under the moonlight.
