Day two: Misson suspended
Today and yesterdeay were quite inactive. Yesterday, our Field Informant, Marjaline, who acts as our guide, told us that our mission for the day; Del Mar Fair, had been suspended. Instead, agent 'Kat', my partner, went to gather field supplies for a later mission with F.I. Marjaline. I was left alone with a mission of my own: not losing my sanity. No joke. I was forced to spend the day with my 'uncle', and all he wanted to do was watch some idiotic shows about "who's this baby's dad?"
Meanwhile, Kat spent almost all day gathering suplies, and when she returned, both of us went with F.I. Marjaline to the coast to scope out surroundings. Thus ended day two.
Day three: Last Chance
Day three was the last day for F.I. Marjaline to gather funds for a personal mission. Me and Kat were also temporarily assigned to this mission for the day, so we assisted. Our job was to prepare rations for the rest of the attendees. And so we did, cooking and preparing for hours, finally leaving at the assigned time to prepare for the gathering itself. When we arrived, the turnout was small, small but good. We watched and mingled, served our rations, and assisted F.I. Marjaline with her task; gathering funds. Eventually, the gathering dispersed, and all of us were left to clean up. We finished and went back to base, where we counted our earnings. We'd made good profit. Satisfied with the day's work, we all retired.
Thus ended day three.
Day four: Rehersal
Today, we get another low class mission: attend rehersal for F.I. Marjaline. The rehersal is for her running for queen of the Club, a small organization. This time, a more normal and social gathering, we must go, eat 'potluck' and get the results of the crowning of the queen. After this, we will all return to base and lay low for the rest of the day. Tomorrow though, our higher class mission is resumed; Del Mar Fair, the suspended mission from Friday. Once again, our goal is to guide the grandparents through the fair, keep our sanity, and refrain the grandparents from spending over $50. We'll see how that turns out. Tuesday, or day six, our mission is to go back to the caves and pools at the coast of La Jolla, and continue our scoping of surroundings in the daylight.
Good luck to us all. Send out your prayers and best wishes,
