Ok so I know I accidentally skipped a year on my yearly journal postings. But 2011 was very hectic. I was a junior in high school and 16 (of course) and I had hardly anytime to myself. First off, I am in marching band and I play the clarinet. I have for about 8 years now and I love it. I was second chair all year and it was my first time to play first part for marching band. Now, our marching band has gone all the way to state and made it to state finales. Which we won 7th out of 7. I was really disappointed but we were (now that its a new year) the 7th best 2A marching band in Texas. We also won straight ones for concert and sight reading. Which won us our first ever Sweepstakes award. Our band went to San Antonio for our band trip this year and we had a blast. Meegan and I went to the Dallas Comic-con this year. She was dressed up as Poison Ivy and I was Black Canary. We had a lot of fun and a lot of people took our picture. I was also taking Duel Credit classes which are college classes so all of that took up most of my time as well.

But now I am 17. I am now assistant drum major for the band. I am in the first band (now that our band director has decided to split concert band into an A band and a B band) and I am also first chair. I still have an amazing boyfriend who I love very much. And our band is going to New York for our band trip next year. smile And I hope to go to Fan Days, The Horror Convention, and Comic-con this year and next.

A hope that I have is to go to state in All-Region band. To go to state in either solo or ensemble. (Both would be nice.) And something that I know will happen is that our band will go to state once again. (We get to go again because we moved up to 3A) We will get straight ones in concert and sight reading and we will win the sweepstakes award. Senior year will be a blast. Lets just hope that I can withstand band, my duel credit classes, and thinking about my future.

Wish me luck on another very eventful year full of fun, memories, and a lot of hard work. I hope you have fun and make many happy memories as well. smile Chau!
