So, the freaking FIRE ALARM in my dorm went off last night at 2:00 in the freaking morning. I had actually gone to bed at something resembling a decent time, at 12:30, and I had just really gotten to sleep when my dreams were suddenly full of this weird trilling noise and people stampeding around.

So by the time I was fully awake, my RA was pounding on people's doors, the people in the room above us were stomping around (I hate those 520 girls...) but I still couldn't tell it was a fire alarm. I thought maybe there was a tornado, as the weather people had been predicting baseball-sized hail earlier in the day.

But eventually my roommate and I stumbled out of our room, down the stairs, and out across the street outside. We stood around for at least fifteen minutes. It was rather chilly. I stood around for a while in my slippers and pajama pants (the ones with the penguins toasting marshmallows), seeing people from my classes, and feeling rather silly.

It turned out that the fire alarms were just plain dysfunctional, and we got to go back in. For a while they would do this beep thing every few minutes while we tried to go to sleep. It was like trying to go to sleep while your snooze keeps going off.

I did not get much sleep last night.

And the birthday presents start rolling in!!!

Oh wait... I guess Bucky did some "art" for me too... dang, I have to find that again! And then I will post it! And then my journal will become a gallery of avatar art fabulosity!

I really would like to become an art whore, but I'm still too greedy for items, and I don't make that much gold from my art, not enough to buy lots and lots of awesome art. But I'm going to do an art trade, soon, with goatcreature_MAGNUM, whose avatar art is so very very fun! Yet he thinks my art is like, super awesome in comparison to his own. THE GRASS IS GREENER BLAH BLAH.

It's kind of strange sometimes to have my artwork adored so.

I know I still have so very far to go.

I just got back from Ireland and Scotland, am fangirling hardcore, and am going to Disney World to work next semester. And to top it all off, a brand-new Diana Wynne Jones book came out today.

So yeah life is pretty good right now. 3nodding

This feels weird.

My avatar has had the same hairstyle since I joined, and the same color since about a week after that.

And now the ballerina circlet looks weird. crying That was such an expensive item for me when I got it...

I started something of a friending frenzy in the WF after I decided to, now that I actually have friends on Gaia, I should add them to my list.

EVERYBODY LOVES ME!

It's just surprising how many people know who I am.
It feels kind of nice.
