I'm really bored. I have a summer job here with my dad, uncle, grandfather, and brother. It's a family owned business, you say? How did you guess. rolleyes It's a family business so it doesn't break child labor laws so they can pay me less than the original minimum wage. I'm not good enough to have less than the new one. No!
Anyway, what we do for this small business is dig in the dirt to find out if someone can put a septic system in it. Guess who does all the work while the others just sit back and watch and look at the dirt to see what it has in it? That's right. I have to dig four feet in the ground to see if the people's plumbing will work. I don't get a normal shovel, either. Just this thing that you have to twist that barely works. I have to pratically jump on it to get one inch of rocky, root filled, soaking wet dirt. No help from a strong adult. No machines other than the screw tip of the auger, if you count simple machines.
At least I get a break from digging and hold up a 25-foot-tall contractable pole for doing the survey for land height change. Not survey like test survey. This one involves a laser and a mirror at the tip of the pole I'm holding up..

A Chronicle of Sorts
Whether or not I'll actually be chronicling anything here is anyone's guess. In fact, I'll take any and all bets on the matter.
Call me Matt.
