Welcome to my video gaming blog and I hope I can remember to blog this often and change it a few times. Summer is almost starting and I'm so excited, because then I can go on full blast to lazy mode and stay home all day without worrying about dumb homework. YAY! So let's see what have I been playing lately .....
Look! I sorted the games by my favorite of this summer!
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance Score: 9.0
Another tactics game. Man, I'm starting to love Strategy RPG games now. While Disgaea had the hard difficulty, this game is just as hard, because if one of your character dies you never get that person again. And not to mention Ike is a cool character and Boyd is super strong. Add Marcia and Mia which are two of the hottest girls in the game and you get a masterpiece.
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness Score: 9.0
A tacitcs game makes it on my list of games this summer. Disgaea is a humorous game filled with laughs and fun and it brings a challenge too. It took me a while to get into this game, but this game has been a complete blast and I can't wait to play more Nippon Ichi games.
Kirby Canvas Curse Score: 8.0
A new way to play with Kirby and this time you draw with a stylus. You have to help Kirby get to the end of the level by drawing platforms to dodge the obstacles and to defeat the monsters. Much more different than your average Kirby game.
Baten Kaitos Origins Score: 7.5
Baten Kaitos Origins is a RPG game for the Gamecube. I thought I was done with the gamecube, but the gamecube has a few more good game before it's over. This game is almost the same as Pokemon Pearl, but instead of the battle coming to frequently. The battles in this game are so massively long. I don't know what's worse frequent battles or battles that take too long. The story was dull at the beginning and the middle felt like it took forever. I almost quit the game in the middle, but the ending was well worth it. Some of the best drama and voice acting were at the end of the game and I almost cried too. If only the beginning was interesting too.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorny Score: 7.5
My first mystery game and boy oh boy was this a blast. With so many plot twists. I didn't know being a lawyer could be so hard, yet so fun. The cases all have a way of beating them, but proving your client innocent is harder than it seems. And it's so fun to say "Objection" or "Hold It."
Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition : Score: 7.0
Become a demon to hunt demons themself. Dante is a half demon who must hunt down demons to start his business. By the same people that made Resident Evil comes another action adventure game called Devil May Cry.
Final Fantasy XII Score: 6.5
Final Fantasy XII is a pretty good PS2 game, but I thought it would be better. I'm having a hard time deciding if this should go in the 7's section or the 6's, but I'll choose the right spot for this game when I'm finished playing through it. So far I've gotten to get a good 50 hours in the game. I have a few complaints about the game though. The lack of energy in the characters, they don't really develop that much and there kind of boring in my opinion. The story is more mature, but that doesn't make it more interesting. But most RPG's don't get interesting till the end of the game.
P.S. Finished the game and it didn't get better.
Pokemon Pearl Score: 6.0
Pokemon Pearl is another RPG for the Nintendo DS. Pokemon has always been a fun game to play, but this one might change the idea for me. The battle encounters in this game or so frequent. You take five steps a pokemon battle. You take another five steps another pokemon battle. I remember in this one dungeon I had to fight about 100 something wild pokemon battles. After that I don't want to see another Graveler or Onix again. >_<

LocoRoco Score: 6.0
LocoRoco is a 2-D platformer for the PSP. Yes, it's yellow and blobby and very very very cute. Unfortunately, it gets kind of boring after a while. Like at first, it's addicting as cotton candy, but then it drags down and you feel like you're playing it only to look at the cute blobs play in the same levels you always see. Another bad thing is the repetitive backgrounds they have in the game. Yes, I saw the snow like three times already. I don't want to play another snow level. RAWR!
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Score: 3.5
OMG! This game had one of the best stores I have ever heard. And it had one of the best theme songs. I still have the theme song stuck in my head. The gameplay is pretty good, but there are alot of cut scenes in this game. Which just enhances the story telling. What it does good is for giving you one of the most powerfulest endings yet. Now if I can just get my hands on that theme song, everything would be perfect.
P.S. I changed my score, because I found out that I don't like shooting games.
Warioware: Smooth Moves and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Warioware Score: 8.0
Super Monkey Ball Score: 7.0
The Wii is really really fun, even though it kind of has a stupid name. But Warioware: Smooth Moves > Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. SMBBB is pretty fun, but some of the mini-games that it offers feel a little lame and the controls are quite hard in the one player mode, but once you get the hang of it. It becomes quite fun and sort of frustrating on some levels. Warioware: Smooth Moves is a really funny game and I love playing the Wii games that it offers. SO MUCH VARIETY AND IT'S SO MUCH FUN!
