Secondly, Tommy just finished his schoolyear; yay! We'll have more free time, now, and he can nap all he wants. xD I'm kidding. But seriously. He needs rest, the poor thing. ;_____;
Thirdly, for my summer reading, I'm reading The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls, Mythology by Edith Hamilton, and The Odyssey by Homer.
TGC is truly an amazing read; it's sad, yet it gives you hope, and is just a beautiful memoir of a beautiful life we can all learn from. I especially love her descriptions of all the traveling, and it's so easy to depict the characters and the settings in my mind, and, just, wow.
I was only supposed to read 5 chapters of Mythology, 1-4 and 17. It's very interesting, actually. I'm not that educated on Greek mythology, so this was very new for me. However, some of the stories were just incredible and meaningful; like the story of Echo, and the story of the Hyacinth, which just made me bawl like a baby.
In TO, I'm actually only on Book (or chapter) 2. We're not only supposed to read the chapters, but take notes on the plot and characters of each Book and do the sixty questions assigned to each individual Book. It's taking me two hours every day to do one measly chapter, but it's an amazing read, and it's going smoothly.
My dad found something in his dresser that his dad wrote to me before he passed away ... I shall treasure it forever.
It says, in Spanish, translated to English: My beloved Franchesca, your grandmother and I are sending you this little Crucifix so that you may always use it and so that you may never forget the two of us. Much love, Juancho & Mama Isa.
<3333 *wipes tears away* *no, not kidding*
But, um ... that aside, I have a strange desire for hot wings. I want me some Hooters. >:] Hold the boobs, though. Pun? Intended.
Dad's going to take me to a new hot wings place in a few. S'gonna be awesome. Can't wait to get some.
And there's the chance we may not be able to go Venezuela this summer. Thanks, Chavez. No, really, go beat yourself with a cactus and bleed to death or something. <3
Song of the Moment: The Yu-Gi-Oh! themesong. Not even kidding you. The abridged series-- heart LittleKuriboh heart --has really got me in its wrath.
Mood: Craving hot wings, religious, confident.
Awesome Thread You Must Check Out: My bumping service. Link is in mah siggy. <33 Pwease? Friends who have donated get free bumps. <3
Upcoming Events: I wish. I miss those days. Someone should totally get somethin' going in Gaia Towns.
