This week I decided I would hang out with my mom (and her crazy co-worker) on her work trip. We left on Tuesday morning and after an 11 hour drive, a winged moose and way too much christian music for my taste, we finally ended up in Madison. The hotel room was pretty nice, a bubbly tub and computer in the room even, and we had a seperate room from her co-worker(the one who tortured us with her lousy music). I was way to tired to do anything so we crashed pretty much the second we walked in the door.
Madison is awesome, at least what I saw of it was. Which was pretty much just State street and the zoo rolleyes . It's suppose to be the no.1 walking town in the US and I did a ton of it. But I guess the highlight was Ragstock on state street. Oh god I'm in love with that store, if only I had more money. They had at least 3 racks of vintage kimono and a whole rack of obi in the back. They had tons of awesome t-shirts and everything was reasonably priced. And by reasonable i'm talking 10 dollar t-shirts, and cool ones at that. It's made me want to check around for vintage and retro style clothing shops in my own area. Maybe I'll finally start dressing a bit better...
The kick in the a** even more is I found free tickets to a show Dir en grey was playing on Saturday. Too bad I'll be gone razz
After this trip I'm even more determined to get a full time job. I have so many things I need and want >.o Plus i'm completely burnt out on school. I think it would help me feel more independant, and prove to myself i'm not as weak as I keep telling myself I am. Which leads me to my two big goals right now; getting a job and losing enough weight so I can go snowboarding and not feel self concious.
