	What worked really well for me was just having the link in my signature and posting like I usually do. Not going into any of the avatar/etc. forums, and not really doing anything other than having the same avatar all week with a teeny ad at the bottom of my post. Top ten ftw. Also, at least this happened on a Monday, so you've got the rest of the week to make up for it.
