If we weren't meant to be,
why are you so perfect?
Why can't I go one night without a dream about you?
Why can't I go one day without wondering what you're doing?
Forgive me if I don't understand,
you push me away,
then tell me we aren't meant for each other,
but my heart pulls me back,
it tells me you're the one,
how can you both be right?
How is it that I can't help but melt when you talk to me,
and yet you don't feel the same way?
Why do I have to feel pain when I'm in love?
It's not fair,
you're the one for me,
but you deny all the rights and go with the wrongs.
I just don't get it,
if how you feel is the only answer,
then my heart,
the thing breaking inside my chest lied,
because,
if we weren't meant to be,
how will we ever become,
you and me?
