Posting in the Test Forum does NOT give you Gold
This one is probably the most overlooked sticky, as well as the one that gets the least attention. Apparently, people aren't listening, since people are posting "bump" and"hello," start conversations, beg for gold and other crap, ask about how to configure a signature, ask for people to rate their sig, type "test" when they obviously don't have anything to test, post porn and other shock pics, and also say "DONT MIND ME IM JSUT POSTNIG 4 GOLDIES LOLOLOLOL!!!11 domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun domokun " There's a whole bunch of crap in there that's obviously supposed to be in other forums.
I kept reporting stuff in there for almost three months. Guess what, people? That stopped yesterday. Not because these people are turning it into Chatterbox 2.0. Oh, no. It's because it is Chatterbox 2.0. I asked Moonblossom, one of the Test Forum moderators, if it was like that to her...

I think we may have to re-think the test forum, honestly. No matter how hard we try, it always ends up a cesspool of spam in a few hours. I'm debating suggesting we remove it entirely and just let people test in the CB.
I agree. Besides, it's easier to delete other people's post in threads you want to set up in the Chatterbox than in the Test Forum, and it doesn't involve reporting people, either. Yup, the X button is your friend, Mr. Topic Maker. biggrin
I feel sorry for you, Yuzi_K. But what can I (or you) do? You only made one pistol in the war on spam with the strength of a nuclear warhead, only for it to become another dud in the war on spam. *sighs*

Do people even read this one when they enter? No, they just ask for friends. The first thing they usually put their eyes on is the words "New Thread."
If several hundred people read this sticky before they run around in a stupor from not knowing what to do, maybe they would be in a lighter stupor. Maybe they would be in the same stupor, but actually know some things about what not to do. Damned if I know.
And for some reason, writing about this one reminds me of this crazy Flash toon.
Gaia Community Discussion Forum Rules & Guidelines
For some strange reason that I just do not comprehend, GCD is the "other place to be" for stuff that isn't in the right forum. Apparently, the GCD is turning into Test Forum 1.5, since there's a lot of stuff in there that's either for Feedback, Chatterbox, or GD.
Whaddya know, I found one for GD, one for feedback, two for Chatterbox, and one for somewhere, but I can't tell exactly which one it goes to just by looking at it *cough*Chatterbox*cough*.

Even some of the GCD regulars complain that the place is riddled with spam. And just as sad is that sometimes, they don't know where some of the stuff goes. The only hint I can give them is *cough*Chatterbox*cough*.
Anyway, thanks for reading this. Hopefully some of you oldbies, newbies, and n00blets will have some new-found love for these three overlooked, hardly-read, never pointed at stickies! And for those of you don't...well...I could be the one sending you to a one-way trip to the Moderation Gas Chamber...probably even more than once, too!
