They'd better not make me mod. Gaia would quiver in fear.
For some reason, I can't get here every evening because of alleged server screw-ups. So I might as well type today's entry right now.
Apparently, the Test Forum becomes a cesspool, and the Chatterbox runs rampant with 14G posting. Everytime somebody starts mass 14G posting and I ask them to look in pages X through Y, they just say "Please use the report system." But it's 20+ posts of the 14G crap, and I might just end up flooding your inbox.
Sorry, but I don't know how in the hell the inbox system works. I don't know if it all goes to a certain mod in a certain time period or if it goes to a random mod each time.
Which is why they shouldn't make me mod for Chatterbox and/or the Test Forum. 14G posting? I'd just disable their posting while I clean up the mess they made in the Chatterbox, and leave it that way for a good six hours...make them practice lurking and reading stickies, like they're supposed to. Test forum spam? Disable their posting for that for a good six hours, or block them for 3-14 days if they're repeat offenders.
I'm sorry. It's just not working. Harsher punishments are the only thing we need right now. That way people without the knowledge from the stickies can shape up and the smart can better enjoy the Gaia Experience.
