Can you see the pain inside
That shows clearly in my eyes
Can you feel the hopelessness I hide
When someone I love dies
Do you hear my mind cry out
When everyone depends on me
Do you know my heart shouts
For everyone just to let me be
You say what you see in my eyes
Is a seemingly endless spring of hope
Had it ever ocurred to you I might desguise
The pain and when you're around not to mope
A broken heart never really heals
It just pulls itself back together
Many know exactly how that feels
Many like me are under the weather
But if no one will ever notice this pain
That runs so deep inside
How can I ever complain
When I have no one in which to confide
My smile conceals my pain
My laughter suppresses my tears
I pretend to be fun and insane
But in truth it's just to mask my fears
A broken heart never really heals
It just pulls itself back together
Many know exactly how that feels
Many like me are under the weather
So keep that in mind when you see me around
Is that smile really how she feels
Or does she really want to fall to the ground
Cause she told you how she deals
Her pain hidden away
