Camp Sweeney is a very special place for me. Most people go to "Church Camp" or "Band Camp" and just say they had fun and had a good time, but at Camp Sweeney, I actually feel normal. Having Diabetes is pretty tough, even if it doesn't seem like it. At camp, I'm with people who know exactly how I feel, and I can feel completely normal.
I made a lot of new friends this year. Most notably Matt, Kolle, Reagan, Jeremy... there's just too many to name, and none of you know them anyways. All of my friends, the old and the new, are very special to me. The friends I make at camp are all my family. Don't feel bad because you can't go to my camp and be part of my family... it's just hard to understand sometimes.
I have lots of great stories to tell of my camp experience. I'm going to space them out throughout my journal entries, though, so that the effect lingers and isn't wasted on a single reading. Meaning this entry won't have one, but the next meaningful journal entry might. I have lots of stories to tell.
