I'm no longer working at Chick-Fil-A (I only worked there for about a week) but now I'm working part-time at the Paige House. This is a Victorian House near the highway where they have wedding ceremonies, small, fancy parties and the like. It's not half-bad, but every person who works there has their own interesting personalities and quirks.
You see, there's Anneice (Anice?), the manager, who walks and talks like she's got a stick up her a**. But, she keeps the business running ship-shape, so we put up with it. Then there's Carmen and her husband Tom, the chefs. They're from the North, so they've got their funny little accents. She's always telling Kevin and I to "worsh them dishes." Jane and Les Best are the owners. Les is probably the funniest guy around, but it's nothing like I could write down. He has a way of saying things that makes you laugh. And there's Buffy, the bartender. I'm not sure if her actual name is Buffy, but I figure it must be. Everyone seems to just call her "Slayer."
It's a pretty decent job, but I mostly took it because it's really fun doing weddings. Every wedding is different, and you never know what the different couples are going to want. Plus we get to eat a lot of the leftovers, as well as the leftover wedding cake. I will inform you now: there is no middle ground for wedding cake. It's either wonderful, or awful.
Well, that's the longest journal entry I've posted in a while so I hope anyone reading this can hold onto that one for about a week or so.
