A New Path

Can you move into a world, a world of gloom and darkness,
Where everything seems dark and filled with lifelessness,
Where the only light you find is in solitude,
Where the people that were most dear,
Are now distant or gone?

As my eyes gaze upon life’s stage,
There is nothing to smile about,
Where the light of my life has been darkened by demise,
Where so many sees but do not hear,
Where the ones who do see you, still don't hear,
Where dark eyes watch your every more,
Only to constantly judge you,
Whose only verdict is guilty.

I wish to see the light again,
I once felt the glow and warmth of the light,
But where that light once glowed, is now over-grown and disappeared from sight,
And to continue to grow and expand,
I must cut a new path to light I seek
