Maybe this is how a runaway feels after finally returning home.
That's what I said the last time that I returned to Besaid. This time, it was better. After defeating Vegnagun, I returned here, to my house. Then, after Tidus went back to Zanarkand, I rejoined the Gullwings. This is the first time returning home after that.
Lulu was so happy to see me. Always so kind, she offered to keep us in her house, since mine is way up on the hill(That was where the picture was taken from). We agreed for the first night, then we were determined to make it up to my house.
She and Wakka are doing fine. They're wonderful parents. Vidina's grown quite a bit since I've seen him last, and now he can swim. Wakka wants him to eventually take his place on the Besaid Aurochs.
Blitz season is coming up again. We got some tickets to the Aurochs' first game. Wakka and the others have been training like crazy. We practiced with them a little bit. Wakka said it was good practice; We'd been training ourselves.
All of the Aurochs are doing good. As usual, they were all glad to see us. Jassu and Keepa are helping a lot around Lulu's house with Vidina. Datto and the others are focused on training, but they help when it's needed.
The temple is still up, even with Beclem's wanting to burn it down. Fiends haven't poured out of the temples anymore, which tells us that defeating Vegnagun was the right thing to do. Rikku, Paine and I prayed at the temple the other day. I prayed for Lenne and Shuyin. Later, Rikku told me she did the same.
I saw Lenne the last time I went into Songstress. She said, "Thank you, Yuna", then turned and left. I wondered what that was about, but haven't told anyone yet.
News of my concerts have reached Besaid, and so I did one for them last night. It was nice, performing for Lulu and the others. Lulu could tell I was having fun, I could tell.
Gippal visited us last night too. He was early enough for the concert, which got him a bit of teasing from Rikku. He couldn't stay at the Machine Faction again. He likes to move around. It worries some of the Al Bhed workers.
Baralai came too. He came with Gippal. It was nice to meet the real Baralai, and not one possessed by Shuyin. I still like Baralai. He's got his act together. Apparently, Nooj wanted to come too, but he had work to do.
Gippal and Baralai had much to tell, and we spent the night and most of the next day talking. They stayed with us, then left two days later, making the excuse that there was work to be done. They promised that they'd be back soon though.
We're spending our last day on the beach, trying out the 'day at the beach' dressphere. It's been getting really hot here though, so we've already used it for normal wear.
So, everything on Besaid is pretty much normal. It makes me happy to see at least one place that wasn't really affected by Vegnagun. People are taking more time to relax now too. Now tension isn't quite so high. In all, I think this was the Calm we were looking for.
