I hate people sometimes. I really do. There is so much outrage about this 2% thing on the Marketplace. Ok, it sucks, I agree, but still. People seem to think that this is proof that the Admins and such aren't listening to us. There's even a thread about it!
That is bull s**t and you know it.
Nothing on Gaia ever gets done in one day or even a few days. It takes forever because, believe it or not, EVERYONE has a life off of Gaia, and if you don't... well, that's just sad. Yes, Gaia is a community. Gaia is a completely different place for me than MySpace and Facebook. Those are social networks to keep in touch with those people that are close to you in reality. Gaia is the internet- you can meet people and not judge them based on appearances and such. Hell, you could be talking to your worst enemy irl.
Every time Gaia makes a change, people leave. But I'd estimate that at least, AT LEAST half of all the people that left come back at some point. NONE of the things Gaia has done should be bad enough to leave your friends, even if you do have them on messangers. It's never the same and you damn well know that.
I've been on Gaia since April of 04, that's when I made my FIRST EVER ACCOUNT. After a while, Gaia became like a second home, a place to escape the toils of reality. I've been on for three years now, approaching 3 1/2.
