Chapter One
The Beast Surfaces
Selena lowered her blade and used the back of her sleeve to wipe her raven brow, catching the sweat before it trailed down her face. Her sparring partner, Caption Vlad Long, also wiped his sweaty brow "Wonderful done your highness" he said with a bright smile. Selena smiled in return her crystal blue eyes sparkling "Thank you Vlad, not to shabby yourself" she replied as she flicked her thick raven braid over her shoulder.
Vlad sheathed his sword and bowed "Tomorrow same time your highness?" he asked his green eyes hopeful. Selena laughed and placed a gloved hand on his forearm "Of course" she said not noticing the man blush at her touch. Vlad bowed again "Until then your highness" he said then walked to the kitchen doors.
Selena willed her protesting body towards a large barrel, after sheathing her sword she sank onto it with a heavy sigh. Her arms and legs throbbed and were already sore and tender from her intense sparring match. "For a human he sure held up well" she said with a smile. Black Ice Kingdom was know for its warriors and profound strength for surviveing in the harsh northern lands." I hope Melody has my bath ready, hot water sounds like heaven right now" she mumbled as she rolled her tense shoulders trying to unknot the muscle there.
Melody Alice Shridder was her mother Queen Olivia Frost maids, daughter and was the only other elf in the kingdom but what puzzled her the most was the fact both their parents were human and that they were elf a different race entirely. Selena shoved the thoughts out of her mind along with the feelings she held for Melody because of them she had lost many nights of sleep.
Until a couple nights again when she realized she was in love with Melody well she thought it was love but wasn't to sure. It was confusing and made her heart race, her palms sweat and desire shout through her body when ever she felt Melody touch her or when her intoxicating smell came to her nose. Pushing the thoughts away her advance hearing caught the sound of familiar footsteps "Sounds like Summer" she mumbled.
Summer Frost was the oldest of the three sisters at the age of one and twenty. Then came Meril Frost who was nine-and-one then herself at the age of seven-and-one soon to be eight-and-one along with Melody 'I can never get her off my mind!' Selena thought angrily.
Looking up Selena smiled sure enough of it was Summer, Selena had always envied her oldest sister since she was small. Summer matched her name with her bright smile that could turn anyone's gloomy day bright, she had the essence of summer in her from her bright golden locks that flowed in a wavy mass all the way to her slender waist. To her light tanned skin that seemed to glow with a radiating light and her gem green eyes that held such warm and compassion.
Summer wasn't that tall at all but she had long shapely legs and a soft luscious body that turned every males head when she pasted even women started at her too. Today she wore a floor length white gown with gold trimming and a gold sash tied her slender waist, her slow graceful steps spoke that she was royalty from the top of her head to the tips of her toes.
Summer smiled as she drew closer taking in her younger sisters appearance. From the thick knee high leather boots, skin tight black breechers that emphasized her power, to her white shirt and black leather jerkin, then to her sweaty face and her thick ebony braid that had hair falling from it. Summers smiled brightened followed by a soft chuckled and a slow shake of her head.
Coming to a stop a scant of a foot from Selena "Sparring again Selena" she said her voice full of soft humor. Selena smiled and forced her body to stand towering a foot and a half over Summer she was a couple inches shorted then their father who stood a towering six-two, "Of course I have to keep our guards well practiced never know when there might be a attack from one of the other kingdoms" Summer frowned " Selena it is almost impossible that well be attacked" Selena shook her head "Anything's possible love, now what can I do for you?"
Summer smiled again "We have guests arriving tomorrow to go to the tournament and festival and he wishes to talk with you" Selena smiled "Of course, I'm going to bath a change I'll be down for dinner" Summer nodded and turned and walked off.
She stopped in front of one of the many doors that lead from the main courtyard "You better bathe I don't want your smell overpowering the roast mutton we'll be having for dinner tonight" he words where spoken as a whisper but with Selena elfin hearing and the pantherss that enhanced all her already enhanced senses she heard her.
Selena laughed "I'll get you for that when you least expect it love" she called out. Summers laughed faded as she walked further into the castle. Selena still had a smile on her ruby lips as she walked towards the west tower were she lived with Melody.
Selena slowly looked around the dark stair well that would be hard to see in for a mere mortal but with her abilities she could she perfectly well. Moving her protesting body up the stairs Selena tried to calm her swirling thoughts before seeing the woman the occupied her mind all the time. Selena had calmed her self and returned her mind to its normal level headedness when her hand circled around the cold brass handle that lead to her room, she pulled open the large black oak doors and stepped inside.
Melody looked up from the brass tub of hot water she was kneeling by her thoughts focused on the women she loved. As if her thoughts conjured her there stood Selena with a smile making her already tempting ruby lips even more alluring as she walked to the table by the far wall and draw off her gloves and tossed them onto it. Soon followed by her sword and belt. Melody stood her white hair falling over her shoulder onto the front of her white and blue gown. "How was sparring with Vlad?" she asked masking the venom at Vlads name her two toned gem eyes betraying her gentle words.
Selena flashed her a quick smile that sent her heart pounding faster 'Melody get a grip she just smiled at you' she thought as she walked to her Mistress' side and unbuckling the second belt she always wore from around her lean, slender waist. Selenas smile brightened a little "It was intense, well for fighting a human that is but after the other two today this one left me sore and stiff" she said as she glanced down at Melody.
Melody smiled and chuckled softly as she pulled the belt off Selena her fingers grazing her abdomen and the feel of tensing muscles under them made her have the craving she run her hands over the bare skin of her defined abdomen. Melody turned away to place the belt with the other her cheeks slightly pink from her thoughts 'Calm down Melody you are Selenas maid and she is Royalty and a woman its impossible that she even likes you like that' she thought then the phrase Selena always said crept its way into her mind 'nothings impossible'. Melody shoved her thoughts into the back of her mind before turning and facing Selena her voice calmer then her heart and thoughts "Are you ready for your bath?"
Selena nodded as she forced herself to look away from Melody's entrancing eyes her heart pounding wildly she prayed Melody couldn't hear it. One was Sapphire blue and the other was Emerald green and the only one in the whole kingdom with two different colored eyes. 'Calm yourself Selena take deep breaths you don't want to scare her by panting over her like some animal' she thought as Melody puller her jerkin off and tosses it onto the bed.
Selena watched her nimble fingers undoing the knot on her shirt ties that rest at the base of Selenas throat. Melody was a inch or so shorter then Selena but it was close enough she to catch the smell of the mouth watering scent of cinnamon from her snowy hair. Selena clenched her hands resisting the urge to run her fingers through the silken mass. Selena was pulled from her thoughts as she felt the shirt ties fall loose and Melody slipping it over her head and tossed it onto the bed leaving Selena standing there with only her boots, breechers and white chest bindings.
Selena felt her breath catch as Melody reached around her middle to pull the pin loose and free her off the bindings. Selenas heart pounded faster and her body started to heat as Melody's hands rubbed against her bare skin looking down she noticed Melody's usually porclien face, stained a reddish color. Her desire dampened with genuine concern for her childhood friends welfare she reached a clawed hand up towards Melody's face.
Melody was trying to ignore the leather and rose scent of Selena while she concentrating on removing her pin that held together her bindings. Melody swore at the small pin since is was making her say closer to Selena then her current state of mind to handle. As she worked the thought off Selenas silky skin came to mind, and if was smooth all over and how she would love to find out making a deep blush covered her face which was unknown to herself. Melody was shaken roughly from her thoughts as she felt Selenas fingers encircle her chin forcing her head up to met those icey blue eyes. Melody's heart raced faster as her eyes widened as desire flooded through her body with such force it made her a little dizzy and disoriented.
As she met Selenas eyes she was surprised again to see those eyes full of concern "Melody are you well your face is a little reddish?" she asked as her thumb softly carresed her chin in small circles sending shivers go down her spine. Melody forced a smile "I'm fine just red from lifting those water buckets up her for your bath"
Selena smiled her full ruby lips lifting to expose the tips of white fanged teeth making her already tempting mouth more of an temptation, and making the urge to feel those teeth graze and n** places of her body even worse. Selena nodded "Well don't overexert yourself you know you can make one of the guards do it" Melody smiled and nodded "Of course your highness" then looked back down as Selena pulled her hand away leaving the spot where it was placed grow cold.
Melody then concentrated on her work then smiled as she pulled the pin free and the bandages loosening from the pressure of Selenas large chest, with a slight blush she pulled the bindings free and let Selena pale breasts fall free. Quickly looking away Melody busied herself with unlacing Selenas boots and pulling them off then untied those skin tight breechers and quickly pulled them off Selena. Melody had her back turned to Selena 'Every time I undress her or dress her it leaves me breathless, she's so beautiful and powerful ' she thought then heard the sound of water followed by a happy sigh.
Melody smiled and turned back around after placing the soiled clothing with the others and placing clean ones on the bed. Selena was laying in the water with her knees up and her head titled back her thick raven braid coiled on the floor. Melody clamed her racing heart glad that Selenas eyes were closed and couldn't see Melody looking over her body her eyes bright with desire and her cheeks scarlet. Melody shook her head and crossed over to her mistress making not a sound while she tucked a white strand back behind a pointed ear -which wasn't as pronounced as Selenas at all-. Melody kneeled behind Selena and picked up the thick raven braid marveling at the silky texture, as the silken strands teased at her already over sensative flesh.
Selena savored the feeling of the hot water that felt like was soaking into her very bones and unwinding her tense muscles. She allowed a smile to grace her lips as she felt Melody's hands unraveling her waist length raven hair. Heaving a sigh she opened her eyes and looked out the window to the darkening clouds the smell of wet dirt reaching her sensitive nose making her twitch it. "Melody?" she asked softly as she felt her now unbraid hair being shook loose "Yes?" came the quiet reply. Selena took a breath and gathered her courage "Its going to rain tonight and umm I know that pallet on the stone floor with get cold so I'm offering to share umm well uhh....will you sleep with me in my bed tonight" she blurted out her heart quickening as she waited in anticipation.
Melody hands still in her hair then responed her voice sounding slightly weak to normal "I'm fine really don't worry its not that-" she was cut off as Selena sighed that wasn't the answer she wanted. Thinking quickly she rolled to her stomach her hands balancing on the lips of the tub. Her hair had sliped for Melody's hands and hit the water and fanned out around her. Looked into Melody's wide shocked two toned eyes Selena noticed her face red and smiled slightly 'she's blushing does that mean..' she thought and felt her chances to confess her love to Melody growing greater.
Selenas face was mere inches away from Melody's their breath mingling at the closeness "Oh come on spoilsport it will be like old times" she smiled quickly and her eyes took on a challenging look "Unless your afraid that I'll hear your snoring and be forced to be awake all night because of it". Melody's eyes changed from that of shock to one of anger her eyes narrowed into a dark scrowl "I Do Not Snore!" she growled out between clenched teeth.
Selena smiled "Whatever you say or is it you don't want Me know your still scared of Thunderstorms" she said with a hint laughter in her voice. Melody made the mistake of leaning closer her eyes telling Selena she had taken the challenge "I accept your offer and I will prove to you that I'm not afraid and that I Don't Snore!" she growled.
Selena smiled weakend slightly as she thought 'What would she do if I kissed her right now would she push me away and refuse to talk to me ever again or would she kiss me back?' her eyes glanced to her full lips that seemed to call to her. Selena swallowed before she spoke stamping out her last thought "We'll see" she said her lips lightly brushing Melody's before pulling back as fear sank into her.
Selena had to swallow before she spoke "I think we should make a wager" she said, Suddenly the door burst opened and reviled her mother with Valentine Shridder at her heels, Melody's mother. Valentine still looked young her soft brown eyes the only thing giving away her age otherwise she still had a soft, curvy body her dark chestnut hair still bright and lively just like her personality. Olivia Frost her mother was still beautiful as ever and Summer took after all her looks from her golden hair and skin to her long curvy body and jewel eyes.
Selena frowned slightly her icy blue eyes narrowing to slits her cat coming close to the surface "I should know better then to say the word wager or bet since when ever its said you both appear." Olivia and Valentine laughed before Valentine spoke "I don't have a clue what your wagering on but I want to know what will be won don't you Olivia?" she said turning towards her mother, Olivia smiled "Yes please finish loves" she said. Selena rolled her eyes with a sigh then glanced to Melody who had lifted a snowy brow "If I win I get to pick out what you were for the day and you will join me in training then you must spar against me going all out" Melody's eyes narrowed then brightened as she smiled making selena fear of Melodys coming words greaten "And if I win I will pick out a gown for you to wear for the day with no weapons what so ever and you must join me and the others while we mend the clothes and you must help" it was Selenas turn to glare she hated to be without weapons, in a gown and she hated to sew with a fierce passion and Melody had put all three together. With fire in her eyes she spoke "I accept" Melody smiled that cocky smile of her "So do I"
Olivia spoke first breaking the gaze she and Melody held, with a frustrated sigh Selena rolled in the water and closed her eyes again. "Oh Valentine its been a long time since I saw Selena in a dress and everyone at the tournament and festival will she her" Selenas eyes shot open as she sat up sputtering making Melody chuckle softly "What makes you think I will lose?" she asked furiously fire blaseing in her eyes. Valentine spoke before Olivia could respond "Now Olivia I have my money on feisty Selena here and it would be nice perk to see my Melly here take up arms" Selena chuckled at the nickname Valentine usually called Melody.
Melody growled softly behind her "sure mother you just want to watch Selena knock me around like banner in the wind" Valentine laughed along with Olivia but refrained from responding by leaving their laughed faded as the door closed. Selena let out a small growl as she lifted her still slightly tender body into a siting position and grabbing her rose scented soap and a cloth and started to wash her crystal eyes felling with a slight gold color the Pantheress called out for blood and she wouldn't be denied this time.
Melody stood a few feet in front of the tub her back to it while she looked over a tore seam in the drying cloth she was holding. Suddenly she heard the splash of water followed back the sound of something cutting through the air. She was turning around when something wet knocked into her, everything seemed to go in slow motion as she started to fall to the ground Selena over her then watched pain flash across Selenas face and a pain filled scream followed.
Melody watched Selena go to the left and fell a couple feet from her, her bare back towards her and the sight she saw almost stopped her heart. Buried into Selenas shoulder was an arrow that was still on fire the area around it was burned and bleeding. Melody watched the blood slowly drip to the floor jumping to her feet she went to Selena and stopped as she let out a hair rising growl and lifted her head. Melody froze as she watched Selenas eyes turn gold and her round pupil stretching into a slit, Selena struggled to all fours only to let out a scream and half roar "Run..ahhh...now, warn.... my mother...ahhh! GO NOW!" she yelled as before Melody's eyes her skin coated black her nails lengthened and a tail forming. Melody ran to the door and dared another look at Selena to see her lean back her head with a roar her hair forming into fur not wanting to see any more.
As she darted down the stairs she saw her mother and Queen Olivia, Olivia had fear written all over her face "Whats wrong who screamed? What was that Roar?" she asked. Melody know she looked scared "Its Selena someone shot a flaming arrow into the room she took in her shoulder -" she was cut off as Oliva let out a half yell and half sob and started to go up the stairs. Melody grabbed her arm along with her mother and dragged the out of the stairwell and to the outside and away from the door "No Selenas she...she's changed" Olivia looked to her "Not into.." she couldn't finish her sentence and Melody answered "Yes she in her animal form".
Before she could answer a loud roar sounded and the huge oak door slammed open to reveal a four foot tall panther with glowing gold eyes her mouth open exposing the lethal teeth. Olivia gasped beside her but Melody watched Selena in awe and fear, Selena looked at her their gazes meting before she turned away and darted to the left the muscles showing through her sleek black fur the air still in her shoulder.
Melody turned to Olivia and her mother when Selena disappeared from sight behind them she saw King Morgan Frost and Selenas two sisters Summer and Meril running towards them. Olivia let out a distrunt cry and flung herself into her husbands arms tears flowing freely. Morgan looked up his bronze skin glowing "What has happened" Melody met his light blue eyes squarely "Its Selena she's in her pantheress form" Morgan looked confused as Summer and Meril gasped. Morgan spoke "How she only shifts when there's danger or when she's hurt...oh god what happened to my daughter!" he growled out, Melody sighed "Some one shot a flaming arrow into the room and she took it in her shoulder" she said.
Morgan went to speak when they heard a man yell and run into view. He wore red garb with a emblem of a bat on it 'The southern kingdom?' she thought then noticed the bow in his hand he was the one who shot the arrow that would have pierced her heart if Selena hadn't saved her. The man turned his head the same time Selena appeared and jumped her huge paws hitting his chest and knocked him to the ground.
Melody heard the man begged to Selena for mercy but was cut off by a growl and her paw slamming into his face claws exposed. Melody cringed as she heard his neck snap from the force of Selenas paw then froze as Selena ripped open the mans chest and started to feast on him. Out of the corner of her eye she watched Summer and Meril gasp and cling to each other. Then looked back to Selena who jumped from the dead man her head swaying a little.
Selena fought to gain control of her pantheress once she had finished on the man that shot the arrow that would have killed Melody. Selena finally gained control of the pantheress and started to shift back normal, the loss of blood hit her hard along with the pain when she returned back to normal. Her hair surrounding her bare body hiding her private parts from everyone Selena fell forward with a weak cry her world going black.
Morgan had pulled from his wife and ran past Melody towards Selena who layed very still on the ground. Morgan had pulled his blue cape from his shoulders and layed it over Selena, whispering softly as he picked her up. Everyone who was watching felt their breaths catch when Selenas head rolled back and her arm swung free so lifeless.
As Morgan climbed the stairs slowly followed by Olivia, Melody, Valentine, Summer and Meril he felt something move in his arms.
Selena licked her lips as she tried to lift her head giving a weak cry because of the arrow, she looked up to see her fathers face "F-Fat-the-err" she managed weakly. He smiled softly and she saw tears in the corner of his eyes and reached up a pale hand and touched his cheek "I can't die unless its a blow to my heart" she said slowly and quietly. Morgan smiled "I know but you've still got the arrow in you". Selena nodded and felt herself being placed on her stomach and the covering that was on her being pulled away so the arrow could be seen.
Melody stood closest to Morgan as he revealed the arrow and she cringed her heart still beating fast and hard from fear. The skin around the area was black and oozed a clear liquid that mingled with blood. Turning she met her mothers eyes who had Olivia against her crying and a glance to Summer and Meril told her they were worried and scarred for their younger sister. "Melody, Summer hold down her arm and legs I'm going to pull it out" Melody swallowed "Of course your highness" followed by a weak "Yes father" Melody forced her body to move and grasped Selenas leg even now desire pooled in the pit of her stomach. Summer held down Selenas arm and she looked to Morgan who nodded and leaned down whispering something then his hand grasped the arrow shaft and tugged.
Melody bit back a sob when Selena let out a pain filled cry and tried to pull away from Morgan her legs jerking under Melody's hand and she could feel the slid off muscle under the pale skin. Morgan's hands shook and he had a pained expression but he pulled again yanking the arrow free along with a good size chuck of skin and Selenas scream filled the air. Melody cringed never did she want to hear that again not from Selenas ruby lips it chilled her very bones and soul. Morgan lowered himself to kiss his daughters forehead "I don't know how we will heal this but I will find a way" he whispered.
Melody shook her head "You won't need to your highness I will" true to her words Melody lifted up her gown and swung a leg up over Selenas bottom and settled herself down. Morgan nodded and watched her intently along with everyone else in the room, taking a deep breath Melody calmed her racing heart and cleared her mind and reached inside herself and drew upon her magic until it started to flood through her.
Melody opened her eyes both glowing as he hair started to whip around her violently leaning forward she placed her hands over Selenas shoulder. Melody felt the magic pound through her veins like a fire until it reached her fingertips and they started to glow and she opened her mouth and spoke in Elfin.
'Mend the veins,
mend the muscle,
mend the skin,
seal them together,
leave no scar,
return the strength,
like it never happened'
under her hands Selenas wound started to heal until it closed up leaving the pale skin flawless as ever. Melody let her grasp on her magic go and her eyes and hands lost there glow and her hair stilled falling back into place. Melody slid back to the floor and straightened her gown then looked to everyone else "Selena will be down for dinner but for now she needs her rest" she said her two tones eyes looking from one face to another almost daring anyone to say different. They all nodded and filed out the door until it closed behind them. Once they were gone Melody turned back to selena who had rolled onto her back and she allowed herself to fell apart.
Chapter Two
Games and Jealousy
Selena looked up to Melody who glared at her "Selena Alice Frost never do that to me again!" she said with a growl it made Selena reel back in surprise "What save your life I believe if the time called for it again I would never say otherwise!" she replied. Melody opened her mouth to say something but burst into tears and Selena froze it wretched her heart so to see tears mar her beautiful face "Aww come here" she whispered softly as she pulled Melody's hand until like a stone tower she crumbled down into her arms. Selena wrapped her arms around Melody's waist her head on her left shoulder her arms around her neck.
Selena tried to think of something to say then looked down and spoke "Your a brave woman Melody Shridder" Melody looked up at her "Yeah..a-a....r-real..pillar of strength" she sobbed out her sarcasm showing through. Selena smiled "Most people would have coward in fear at someone who was changing into a beast but you, you tried to help me that actions shows your bravery." Melody shook her head then dropped it down into the crook of her neck and cried harder, Selena gently rubbed the small of her back and closed her eyes not knowing what the hell to do to help and that frustrated the hell out of her. 'Maybe she crying hardened because I'm holding her wrong or she thinks I'm not showing enough concern oh hell I don't know' she thought angrily. Selena felt Melody's tear slow and her breaths started to even and sighed she was glad Melody had stopped crying. Melody calmed and licked her lips the tip of her tongue dragging across her neck making Selena shutter in response as desire started to flood her body.
Melody froze after her tongue accidentally ran over Selenas skin the taste of her almost made her groan but the fear of what Selena would do stood it. Seconds dragged by and Melody became aware she was in Selenas arms and her hand lightly rubbed her lower back and she shivered desire started to rise. 'She's holding me oh god I always dreamed of this now its happening' she thought as a strange feeling pooled in the pit of her stomach as Selenas thumb made small circles leaving a fiery trail in its wake even through the cotton gown. Melody moved her hands down Selenas shoulders from their perch around her neck the feel of muscle under Selenas skin 'HER BARE SKIN!' she realized in surprise.
"Are you better now?" came Selenas cautions voice like she was expecting her to burst into tears again. Melody raised her head and met Selenas icy blue eyes and frowned "I should be asking you that" she said. Selena laughed and Melody felt it roll over her in waves of pleasure "That's what I got you for my melody" Melody saw Selenas face flush at the slip but she felt joy rack through her body 'maybe she does feel something for me like she always says nothings impossible'. Melody raised a white brow "So I'm yours now eh?" she said trying to keep down her laughter. Selena looked down "Umm...well...I..ummm..didn't mean..what I meant was--" she shuddered, Melody silenced her by placing a Slender finger over her lips "I don't mind being yours that is" she whispered shyly as she watched Selenas eyes widened.
Selena was in shock as Melody's words played over her in her mind, she watched Melody slip away from her grasp with a flirtious way and she smiled. 'I remember her act like that when she liked Mark she's playing hard to get but that's fine with me I can play that to...wait hold the archers I'm after Melody she's my best friend and a woman!' a small voice countered that in her head 'She also very beautiful an elf and you trust her too' Selena shook her head in agreement 'And get her I will!' she thought.
Selena smiled as she stood and let go off her fathers cloak watching Melody's eyes widened in shock "Dress me I'm ready to head down stairs" smile widening as she watched Melody's cheeks flush as her eyes darted over her body. Melody turned and grabbed her other set of clothes that consisted of black breechers,chest bindings, black shirt and jerkin and a set of arm gauntlets. Selena smiled as she lifted one leg with a raven brow raised up, Melody swallowed and pulled on the breechers her hands trembling a little as she tied the top. Selena watched as Melody held out the chest bandages her eyes downcast, "Finish" she said softly. Melody hesitated before placing the bandage end on her side then pulled it around her breasts, Selena smiled as she placed the pin in place and was fitted with her shirt even with the bindings you could see the swell of her chest.
While Melody retrieved her sword and belts Selena drew on her knee high boots kneeling while she laced them. Selena noticed as she kneeled the tips of Melody's white slippers in front of her 'Take this my beautiful siren' she thought with a smile she started to stand until she was inches from Melody's flushed face. Selena smiled as their eyes made contact and there breath mingled before she leaned closer until their lips brushed and spoke "Put my belts on" then pulled away her eyes sparking. Melody drew the belt around her slender waist and pulled it tighter her hands trembling slightly but worsen as Selena leaned down and spoke in her ear in a low voice "Tighter" then leaned back with a smile at her sharp intake of breath.
Melody was sliding her jerkin on when a knock sounded "Yes!" she snapped extremely upset at her interruption in her game she was so enjoying. "Dinner is almost done, the King wishes for your presence in the great hall" Selena nodded "Very well your dismissed" "Yes your highness" he said and his footsteps faded. Melody finished braiding her hair and she turned "Don't forget our wager so I'll see you later" she said then turned and started for the door 'I need to kiss her oh well here goes' she thought. Selena turned and pull Melody into her smiling at her gasp "You better be here" she growled before placing her lips over Melody's cutting off a response then pulled away all together and winked "My Melody" and with that disappeared into the stairwell the door closing behind her.
Melody in shock staring at the door her fingers to her lips that still tingled from the kiss Selena had gave her. Melody heard the wild pounding of her heart as it soared with hope then it hit her what Selena had said Princess Selena Frost said to her someone of such lower rank 'My Melody' Melody giggled "Only yours my lady" she whispered as she went down the stairwell she felt like she was floating of course who wouldn't be. Melody opened the door to the Servants Kitchen to dine with her friends the sisters Mary and Mille, the ever shy Mist and of course her best friend Kanako.
Melody walked into the kitchen and was sighted by the two sisters who eyed her dreamy look and the smile on her lips and smiled to themselves and nodded. Those four girls knew how she felt for the Elfin Princess and shared the same feelings after all who wouldn't Selena was beautiful, sweet, powerful and royalty. Melody took her usual chair at the corner table away from the others in the back her back to the wall. Mille placed a bowl of beef stew in front of her and Mary watched her with sharp brown eyes as Melody lifted the spoon of the stew to her lips and took the bite. Mary nodded "Spill it." she said leaning forward her short brown hair falling around her, Melody swallowed and looked at her with a raised brow "spill what pray I might ask?" Mary rolled her eyes "What happened with the princess that's the only time you have that dreamy look we want to know it all leave no details out of it right girls" she said looking to Mist and Kanako who had just joined them and they nodded eagerly in agreement.
Melody finished her tale and ate some more with a smile gracing her lips, Mary gasped and clung to her sisters all girls with dreamy looks then she straighten "What did it feel like please tell us" the others nodded in agreement and Melody smiled. "Her lips were soft and gentle but her teeth brushed over my body lip it was sort of exotic" she said with a slight shudder as she remember the feel. Kanako leaned forward and grasped her hand about to speak when a Shadow fell over the table and they looked up gasping there stood in al her glory was the Princess herself.
Melody watched Selena smile "Good evening Mary, Mille ,Mist and of course Kanako how was your ladies meal" Mille and the others flushed "Very good your highness" Selena smiled and gestured to the chair between Mary and Mille right across from her "May I?" Mary blushed "Of course your-". Selena sat down "Please call me Selena all the your highness nonsense is extremely annoying I'm a person just like all of you" Melody tried to contain her laughter at Mary and Mille's shy expressions and seemed nervous. Melody leaned forward with a smile "What do we owe this honor Nicole" She said using Selenas middle name which she despise to be referred by.
The girls gasped in shock as Selena lifted a raven brow "Why Alice what's the hostile attitude for after all I wanted to be graced with theses lovely ladies presence and after what happened between us that's very unkind of you" Melody glared as she scooped a piece of beef up "I haven't the slightest idea of what your speaking of" she said as she ate the beef. Selena turned her head "Really?" Melody gasped as she felt one of Selenas legs slid between her own her gown pushing upwards "Selena stop!" she growled and flushed slightly as the others looked at her in surprise.
Selena looked at her innocently before leaning closer to Mary "Stop what I'm not doing anything right ladies?" Mary shook her head and started at Selena with deep affection that made Melody want to grasp Selena and drag her away 'Melody what's wrong with you!' she thought as her legs shook as Selenas knee rubbed against the soft skin of her thigh the air playing along it and then clamed her legs shut which earn her a raised a ebony brow. Melody growled which caught the others attention and Kanako nudged her elbow "Are you okay Melody?" Melody sighed "Yes I'm fine" looking across from her she watched Selena grasp a lock of Mary's hair whose face flushed "Mary what compels you to keep your hair short, it looks lovely I couldn't pull it off like you do"
Melody squeezed her legs tighter as she felted with rage 'Dear god melody your jealous!' she realized as Mary giggled. "Thank you your highness you could do it though but can I ask you something?" Selena smiled and corrected her "Selena" then glanced at Melody daring her to challenge her, Melody bit her lip anger rising. Mary nodded "Selena is it true you have fangs?" Melody resisted the urge to slam her head on the table at the question. Selena laughed "Fangs no canines yes see" she said as she bared her teeth that hid under her ruby lips.
Melody flushed as he earlier thoughts returned to her and her legs relaxed which was a bad things because Selena took that chance and pushed her leg father upwards until it was mere inches away from her womanhood that pooled with burning need. Melody shuttered as Selenas silk breechers rub the soft skin of her inner thighs and she heard Mary's gasp as she looked at Selenas canines. Mary reached up and to Melody anger and surprise Selena opened her jaws and allowed Mary to run a finger tip over the sharp teeth and she growled as Selena playfully bit Mary's fingertip pulling a squeak from her.
Kanako spoke next "Have you ever cut yourself from them?" Selena smiled "Yes many of times but my skin heals faster then normal and it doesn't bother me at all" Kanako nodded. Melody watched Selena turn her gaze to Mist who was staring at her then froze as her violet eyes met Selenas icy blue ones "Mist some of my resources have informed me frequently in fact that in two days you turn seven and one are they correct?". Melody knew mist was an orphan that Selena had found in the woods one day and took her in and was curious what she had to say, Selena smiled "well then I guess on that day we I will invite you and you ladies of course for a celebration then to stay the night in my room a girls only sleep over".
Melody smiled and placed her hand under the table and placed it on Selenas knee which got a smile from the princess and a heated glance that made her flush. Mists face lit up as she stood "Thank you Selena very much it would mean a great deal to me!" she said with enthusiasm as she flung her arms around Selena but once she realized what she was doing she went to pull away but Selena wrapped her arms around her "Your welcome" she replied then let go. Melody looked around to see the other servants staring in shock and some with envy and turned back to see Mist sit back down her face beaming with joy that made her ebony hair shine brighter.
Selena smiled "Well goodnight Ladies its starting to rain, I enjoyed your company greatly I will dine with you more often" she said and moved her leg and stood. Melody sighed in disappointment and relief as her gown slid back down "Come Melody' she said then turned on her heel and started out of the kitchen servants bowing and she nodded to them. Melody stood and smiled to her friends as Kanako let out a sigh "Lucky getting to share the same room with her" Melody smiled and leaned down and whispered in her ear "And her bed for tonight she offered" she then pulled away hurrying after Selena hearing Kanakos gasp. Since Elf's could run faster then horsed they made it to the tower stairwell without getting that wet at all.
Chapter Three
A Storm To Remember
Selena held the door open for Melody, the tower windows were closed and a fire was lit as was candles but it was still chilly in the room. Melody stood by the fire a few rain droplets in her hair that glowed tearing her gaze away from the beautiful sight she went to stand by the bed and saw her black shirt and breechers she wore to bed. Selena aware of Melody's gaze on her unbuckled her sword and tossed it onto the table her jerkin following as she kneeled and unlaced her boots and pulled them free the reached for the ties on her breechers when she remember Melody always wore a gown to bed. With a sigh Selena grabbed the clothes "Catch" she said as she tossed the clothing to Melody who catch them and looked at them "What are these for?". Selena laughed as she pulled her shirt free of her breechers and reach under and started to undo her bindings then pulled them free her chest pushing against the material and her nipples hardened from the cold. "To sleep in now change or do I have to do it for you?" Melody's gaze snapped up and she had such a comical expression it took all her willpower not to laugh "Hurry up I'm tired" she said as she bruised herself with drawing the covers down her back to Melody.
Once the sounds stopped she turned around and took in a sharp breath, the clothes were snug on her as they were herself. Melody's nipples showed through the fabric and Selena looked away with a slight blush.
Melody's heart pounded wildly against her ribcage as she stepped over to the bed while Selena bolted the door. With a determined nod she crawled into the huge bed surprised at the softness of it. Melody was glad she accepted Selenas offer this was way better then freezing on the straw pallet on the floor. After she braided her hair Melody sank down onto the bed as she watched Selena blow out the candles that were scattered around the room. Soon the only light in the room was the fire and it shined of Selenas raven hair and pale skin. 'Calm yourself Melody take deep breaths just close your eyes' she told herself as she felt Selena crawled into bed and the covers were pulled up. Melody had her back to Selena and was extremely nervous of Selena and the thunderstorm, truth be told she was really scared of them.
Melody had closed her eyes as was relaxing the best she could when a arm snaked around her waist and she was being pulled into a warm body. Melody gasped as her eyes shot open as desire started to shot through her body making her skin burn for the touch of Selena. Melody knew her breathing was odd but the woman she loved had an around her waist the other under her neck and her head was resting against Melody's neck and every breath of Selenas rushed over her neck making her skin prickle.
Melody gasped when Selena spoke softly into her ear the sensation had heat pooling in her stomach "I have a question Melody mine can you answer me truthfully" Melody had to swallow a few times and wet her lips before she could speak. "Of course if you will answer a question of mine truthfully." Selena laughed and it made Melody shutter "Of course a question for a question that's fair go ahead". Melody nodded and gathered her courage "When you kissed me and called me yours was it as a friend or was it more" Melody waited for Selenas answer her breath held in anticipation.
Finally Selena spoke "More" she whispered and Melody felt her heart sore, did she have a chance to love this woman Melody wasn't quite sure but that single word gave her hope. Selena took a deep breath "What do you feel for me?Is it as a friend or is it more then that?" she asked and Melody knew she would have a hard time answering that one she didn't want Selena to be repulsed by her love. "That's an easy one, More." Melody paused then finished its now or never "I love you Selena I have for a very long time I was just so afraid to tell you I didn't want you to be repulsed and never speak to me again cause if you did I knew my heart couldn't withstand it!" Melody blushed and quieted fearing what Selena would do.
Selena didn't pull away something Melody thought she would instead Selena kissed her neck softly and her body hummed in response "I-I love you too Melody I too was afraid to tell you because your friendship is more important to me then my life and I don't believe anyone could be repulsed by you, You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen" she muttered and out of the corner of her eye, Melody could tell she was blushing. But she didn't care Selena loved her and that's all that mattered right now, Rolling Melody layed on her back as she gazed up into those haunting crystal blue eyes "Kiss me Selena please I want to know how much you love me" she whispered slightly embarrassed over those wanton words.
Selena was more then happy to comply with Melody's request just holding the white haired elf in her arms had desire pumping furiously through her reins and it fire threatened to consume her hold body. Lowering her mouth she met Melody's half way surprised at how fierce Melody was at the moment but she didn't care. Turning her head she ran her tongue softly along Melody's closed lips she wanted to taste her sweet taste no she needed to taste it, Melody moaned and her mouth opened and Selena took that chance to plunge her tongue into her lovers mouth.
Selena ran her tongue gently over Melody's trying to coax her to mingle with her own and soon melody did just that and a fierce battle of domanice erupted. Soon air was needed and they pulled away, Looking down Selena smiled. Melody's two toned eyes were clouded with lust and were dark and her pink lips were puffy from kisses and were slightly parted. Selena followed her instinct and opened her mouth canines exposed as she lowered them to Melody's pale flawless neck then stopped 'If I mark her as my mate she will have to be a beast like me I cant do that to her' she thought and froze.
Selena felt two warm hands on her cheeks and she met Melody's gaze "Selena love mark me as your mate please" Selena shook her head "If I mark you and someone sees they will know you are taken". Melody smiled "I know" but Selena still hesitated "I don't want to hurt you Melody mine plus If I mark you, you must mark me and that will make you into a monster like me" she finished ashamed of the best that lurked inside her. Melody shook her head "You are not a monster Selena never for one second think you are! Now make me your mate" she growled and it wiped all argument from Selenas mind, lowering her head one eye changed gold as she bared her canines.
The same time Selena bit her neck thunder boomed close by making her whimper in fear and slight pain but it was quickly followed by pleasure changing her whimper to a small throaty moan that surprised herself. Selena licked the four holes that were at the bottom of her neck "I mark you here just encase if you want to hide them you can so no one will asks questions unless you want them too" Melody smiled her heart booming with joy at Selenas sweetness.
Melody watched unease flash in Selenas icy blue depths, with a gentle smile she placed her hand on her pale cheek. Her fingers gently carresing the silken skin "Please do not worry my love I have choosen this because" gently she grasped Selenas hand and placed it over her left breast "This is what my heart longs for to be one with you" she finished.
Selenas icy melted into dark pools of love "Then I will" she whispered, slowly she brought one pale wrist to her mouth her lips parting, cannies exposed. Melody cringed slightly as she watched the entracing pearly white teeth pierce flesh. The gush of the dark red blood spilled from the wound staining her lovers already ruby lips her eyes watching the trickle of the mass go down Selenas chin.
Melody gulped as Selena offered her bloody wrist to her, fear of what would happen gripped her throat in a vice grip as he stomach filled with butterflies "I-I don't think I-I can" Melody muttered softly. Selena nodded slowly "Do you trust me my heart?" 'Did she trust her..of course with her very life but this..this was different' Melody nodded slowly then leaned forward and parted her lips places them over the wound.
Selenas life force flowed over her tounge in waves of honeyed flavor making her let loose a throaty moan, 'My god! Its like a ecsacy infernio!' she thought as she glanced at Selenas face, She had her eyes half closed her breathing a little hitched but she had a look of ecsacy on her face. Slowly Melody dragged her tounge over the pinpricks closing them with the new healing agent in her saliva while ripping a husky moan from Selenas mouth.
With a smile Melody pulled away the affects of Selenas blood had already started to change her body, sending surges of power through out her very core. her eyes shifted to a bright red as she looked to her hands. Claws where taking place of her names and the slid of cannies in her mouth let her know her body had begun to alter. 'This is incredable! I've never felt anything like it at all' she thought as she brought one hand to her now cannied teeth the other seeking her pointed ears.
Melody smile in joy as she listen she could hear the movent of bugs on the ground the sound of their beating hearts, she could smell things she never could before and her eyesight was more enhanced she could now clearly make out everything in the room. Melody met Selenas eyes and her heart flipped the heat of desire in her lovers eyes was so intense she could of sworn she felt it sorched her skin.
'She did it she took me blood she is one with me!' Selena thought as joy surged through her very being making her shake lightly and her pantheress felt the same. Selena was extracted from her thoughts as Melody let out a low lethal growl, before Selena could react Melody had grasped her shoulders and rolled her unto her back then straddled her hips. 'My god what have I created shes looking at me like I'm a tasty treat!'
Selena thought as Melody slowly lowered her head towards her neck, Selenas breath caught in antipation her stomach tieing its self into knots. Melody bit down as thunder boomed her moan joining withs its yell, Selena shuttered as Melody marked her.
Unknow to both women a soft light surround them as words in the ancient elfin language shimmered in the air as the pure voice of the Elfin Queen rang out,
'Blood to Blood,
Heart to Heart,
Soul to Soul.
By the power I hold as Queen of the Elfs I join these two Elfin Women as one for all of eternity.
When the planets aline the one not of Royality will be gifted with a child born by only her lover.

The light dimmed as the Elfin Queens voice faded, the only evidence of her gift was on the lovers back. The emblem of the elfs, a phoniex with bright red and yellow feathers, the one on Meldoys back held a mage ball in both taloned feet. While the one on Slenas back held a sword in one taloned foot and a bow with arrows in the others.
After pulling away from Selenas neck and cleaning away the blood, Melody met Selenas lips her own. The kiss becoming more aggesive as desire and lust hit fever pitch, she could smell Selenas desire it ozzed from every pore on her body. Melody gasped into Selenas mouth as she felt the shirt was wearing being ripped from her body the cool air playing over her fevered flesh.
