It was the usual. Dad gone and drunk around the clock and mom trying to survive and feed 5 children. Everyone has a story. Mine is not worse than anyone else. I do find it amazing today although. I have a little girl that I fill with confidence, smother with hugs, and listen to
when she talks. She snugs into bed happy and safe and knows how much she is loved. I cannot even conceive treating my child like I was raised. I now understand since raising my
own what a broken spirit I had as a child. It took years and years to get that back. I am so
grateful that I am a nurturing parent, and my mission is to raise her to the best of my ability.
After all she will become everything because of what I have given her.
