5-2 Win
1:42 PM: Montreal is in the sunshine to face the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa Bay has lost five of their last six sinxe they've met with Montreal on December 11th. The score was 3-2 in a shootout. Brad Richards scored the winning goal. Cristobal Huet will be between the pipes for the Habs. Andrei and Sergei Kostitsyn seems to be working great right now. And bad news, Michael Ryder will probably be back in the line-up.
7:45 PM: Nice! 2-0 Montreal after 20 minutes of play! Maxim Lapierre with a shot that got deflected by a Filip Kuba, his first of the season. Mike Komisarek made a great pass, and Andrei Markov got the second assist. Then, Sergei Kostitsyn gave the puck to Saku Koivu, made a spin-o-rama, rebound to the left, Sergei shoots, rebound in the front, Guillaume Latendresse scores his 10th of the season. Cristobal Huet has been okay... I am seriously afraid each time he touches the puck when he's behind the net... The man needs to learn puck-handling from Price! But, Canadiens applying great pressure and got goals out of it two times... Some must think Guy Carbonneau is a genius for shuffling his offensive lines... We seemed to let loose at the end of the period, having a hard clearing our territory and all... Momentum is with Tampa right now...
8:44 PM: Montreal leads 3-0 after 40 minutes! Kovalev scored with just 10 seconds into the second period! It was also deflected on a Lightning Defenseman. Our Powerplay is good, even though we didn't score... And Damn on Higgins breakaway in a Tampa PP... Romo has been fantastic for Tampa Bay so far.
9:38 PM: Habs win 5-2 against Bolts... Torterella ((sp?)) is a mystery... He changes Romo for Holmqvist after Lightning scores... Is he trying to INJURE his goalies!? Canadiens have been playing way better than in the last games. 5 out of 8 points on this roadtrip so far. Andrei Markov scored on a PP, early in the second period, and the other Andrei, Kostityn, scored the last one. Tampa's second goal was ugly... But I don't blame Huet... He couldn't really see it... Ryder played ...all right... To bad Higgins didn't get any point though...
My Three Stars: 1-Mike Komisarek 2-Alex Kovalev 3-Tomas Plekanec Honorable mentions: Most Canadiens.
Score Sheet: Montreal: Maxim Lapierre, Guillaume Latendresse, Alex Kovalev, Andrei Markov, Andrei Kostitsyn Tampa Bay: Jan Hlavac, Vaclav Prospal
