Lately chef has been acknowledging my existence. He's been giving me extra work, and it's a little tough, but at least it's things that take skill. It tells me that he trusts me.
Today he had me garnish some muffins, and then I made scones with everyone. We all got to make the same thing today rather than just orders. We all had groups of two... except me, and we got to choose what we wanted in the scones. Most people put in raspberries. Some put in raspberries and blueberries, that made them turn gray though. I was very pleased with the ones that I made. I put in orange peal and chocolate chips. I'm so proud! I think that chef appreciated my originality. That was the best part. ^^ It was like he finally realized that I was there because I really loved cooking.
