Game Preview: The first place in the Eastern Conference is at play tonight, at the Bell Centre. The Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils will clash together on the ice to determine who will reign supreme... even if it's temporairy. Young rookie goaltender Carey Price will start once more. He will face the brilliant Martin Brodeur!
1st Intermission:0-0 after one period. Pretty good period for Montreal. Applying pressure and getting some chances. Defense is good and the goaltedner is good. Sometimes, it got a bit boring though. Fell asleep. 13-8 shots on goals for New Jersey.
2nd intermission: It's tied 1-1 after two period between Montreal and New Jersey. A weird goal for Montreal and an absolutely ******** up (in the bad way) one for New Jersey. Another unlucky goal. Carey Price loose sight of the puck and Gionta taps it in. Ugh! With three seconds left on a powerplay, Mark Streit gets a goal. Habs will be on the Powerplay for 20 seconds at the beginning of the third.
Final: Oh. My. ********. Tabarnac. De. Gawd. I am simply amazed. No... I'm FREAKING amazed! Montreal starts the month of March with a win over the New Jersey Devils and takes first place in the Eastern Conference (WOOOTZZZ) and the North East Division (YAY). Montreal has not lead the eastern for about 20 years now. 20 YEARS!! This has been a great game for both goaltender, especially Carey Price. He would have managed a shut out if he saw the puck! *sigh* Wow. This is amazing. I love this feeling right now. Maxim Lapierre, Mark Streit, Bryan Smolinski and Roman Hamrlik played excellent when it came to the last two minutes of the game. They just kept puck control and didn't let go of it. Once again, wow!
My three Stars: 1-Carey Price 2-Andrei Kostitsyn 3-Martin Brodeur Honorable mentions: Maxim Lapierre, Mark Streit, Bryan Smolinski, Roman Hamrlik.
Score sheet: Montreal: Mark Streit, Andrei Kostitsyn New Jersey: Brian Gionta
Next Game: San Jose Sharks, March 3rd
