My Life
This is a story i wrote for my english class, since school is out, i think i'll post it.

The Dream
Meet Danielle
Hello! My name is Danielle, but my friends call me Danni. You are going to read a story about me, so let me give you a small description of me. I’m about five feet tall, and I wear braces. Well, that’s all you’re going to get from me, but keep reading anyways. Who knows, maybe I’ll see you in my dreams!

Chapter One- The Fight
The day had started off pleasant enough, when Danielle woke up in the morning; she was greeted by her mother with a smile and a breakfast. While this was weird, since a hot breakfast on the table was uncommon in the house, much less made by her mother, no further thought was given to the matter as she rushed out to the car where her father was honking the horn, impatiently waiting for his daughter to hurry up, as he was late for work, but was stuck having to take his daughter to school. Normally Danielle would have had to ride the bus, but as breakfast was unusually prepared today, the bus driver drove on by her house without a second thought, since he had a schedule to keep himself. Other than this change of schedule, it was a pretty normal day.
---
As Danielle left school, after a pretty normal day of sleeping through half of her classes, and paying little attention to others, she began planning a surprise for her parents’ wedding anniversary. What could I do, she wondered, to make my parents’ anniversary so special? She finally decided to make them a special dinner; after all, she did ace home economics and advanced cooking five years running, so how hard could it be? The possibilities of what to make were endless as she raced to the grocery store to pick up some necessary supplies. Hours later, as she finished putting the final touches on her oie rôtie (that’s French for roasted goose, by the way) with potato dumplings and sweet roles, Danielle was off to the dining room to get out her grandmother’s favorite china when she heard a car peel into the driveway. Frightened, she went to see who it was. Seconds later, her Mom burst into the room, yelling, “WHERE IS YOUR FATHER?!”
“I don’t know,” was Danielle’s meek reply, still not sure what’s going on, and wondering the same thing, since he was supposed to be home over an hour ago.
“Well wherever he is, he better get here quick,” here she started packing something in the other room, “because he’s got some explaining to do.”
Thirty minutes later, Dad came creeping in, looking around. Mom, looking like a mad beast, with her eyes glaring poison, flipped on the lights and immediately lit into her husband with such intensity that it scared poor Danielle. They began arguing so loud that Danielle couldn’t even stay in the kitchen, so she grabbed her cell phone like she usually did whenever her parents had a fight, and went over to her friend Alicia’s. It’s gonna be okay, she told herself, they’re just going to resolve whatever the problem is and be fine again. But the way her mother was waiting, like a patient tiger who is ready for its prey, and pouncing upon it when it was the least suspecting that it was in the worst danger it could possibly ever be in, made her wonder if it really would be okay. She hopped up the steps to Alicia’s porch and rang the doorbell.
“Mom and Dad are fighting again,” she explained when Alicia’s mother answered the door.
“I understand, come on in. Alicia is upstairs in her room,” was the reply. After they hung out for a while, chatting over who looked good in what outfit, and how Alice’s relationship with her boyfriend was going, Danielle’s phone rang.
“You need to come home now,” her father told her, “you’re mother and I need to talk to you.”
“Okay, I’m on my way,” she replied. Saying goodbye after sharing some good times and laughs, Danielle began the long walk home, wondering what the outcome of that horrible battle which she witnessed before escaping to her friend’s house had become. The way that Mom attacked her father put a suspicion in her heart that Dad did something unforgivably stupid this time. She had never seen her mother act that way before, and they had had a lot of fights pretty recently. All she could do was wonder as she produced her house key and slowly turned the doorknob.

There is more, in fact, 16 chapters, but i think i'll stretch it out over the summer!
