Just a regular SUNBURNT AS HECK day.
Today was a pretty good day. Even when I woke up this morning.
We packed some food and drinks and headed up north for some 4-wheeling! It was so hot and dusty. VERY smart of me to wear a black shirt today! rolleyes
We went 4-wheeling with family and a couple friends. The group included: Me, my mom, my dad, my great-uncle Ernie, 2nd cousin Bert, 2nd cousin Dale; his wife Tina, friend John; his son Anthony, and friend Ray.
We went around the desert. Ya know, dust, hot, sagebrush, old Inidian huts, etc.
But the best part was going to these 2 really cool caves we always go to. Dead Horse cave, and Tea Kettle. Dead Horse cave is REALLY big. There's little steps down into it. It about 20' feet wide at the start and then it gets to 50' wide of pure darkness. It comes to a stop about 3/4 of a mile back!
Tea Kettle's pretty neat. There's a hole in the ground you walk into and then about 1/4 of a mile away from it there's a hole about 30' feet wide and you can look up and see the sky! Pretty cool. And 'cause of all the condensation down there, there's trees growing in it. It's so pretty.
By Tea Kettle I found a really cute little lizard. He had a blue head and body and a bright orange belly. I tried to cath him but he was too fast.
After that, we rode up to Hole in the Wall. There's no hole at all, it's just a scary trail that goes up and around a cliff. But I hate that trail.
Last year, our friend Jan Solders rode her ATV up there and she hit the wrong brake and came rolling down. We had to contact life flight. It was pretty bad. wahmbulance
But anyway, we found some shade while 3 of the guys rode up the trail and we had a snack. 3nodding
We took another trail and Tina hit a rock and rolled her bike. We thought we needed to contact life flight again. But she just scraped up her arm and hurt her shoulder. She was fine, just sore. wink
After that, everyone was getting tired and sunburnt. We decided to start heading back. My mom and I took the lead back to the trucks. Once we got there, I realized that my arms and face were burnt REALLY bad. They started peeling on the way back home!! sweatdrop
Once I got home, I went to my room to change my shirt. My back was even burnt! AND I WORE A BLACK SHIRT!! surprised
Holy cow....

But anyway, it was a pretty good day! 3nodding

Wow, that sounds exciting! Did you go far into Dead Horse Cave?
That sucks about the sunburn. 9: It must be painful... But I wouldn't know, since I've never been sunburned! I just get really dark, which I hate.

Yeah, we went all the way to the back. Last time we were there, my cousin was drunk and drove his ATV down the stairs which weren't as wide as his bike!
