1) Page 20. Connect to Your Life-
Yes, I find I must frequently do so in band, not just for the sake of those who I help teach, yet also for the purpose of belief. Since my freshman year I have mastered and then helped teach numerous instruments in the band room. Some of which include trumpet, baritone, trombone, flute, french horn, tuba, and several others. I have participated in drumline, honor band, and as I have previously stated, assisted in helping new and older members learn new instruments. It frequently gives them great comfort to believe that I am limited to just a few, or only one instrument while they struggle on their first.

3) Story 4 square:

In the future, in order to prevent 'competitions' which is seen as barbaric, there are devices created to prevent anyone from being better then anyone else, and as such, human standards fall lower and lower, and the main characters are the parents of a child that has adapted to the devices that should be hampering him and as such he becomes stronger as his body adapts to the restrains, and as such he breaks free and tries to over throw the suppressive government, and is shot and killed.

cool Pg 27. Thinking through Literature.
Connect to the Literature-
I thought that the ending wasn't proper and that by there laws that they lady who shot the character should also be shot since she demonstrated that she had above average shooting since "She fired twice, and the Emperor and Empress where dead before they hit the floor" (page 26) Proves that she hit each one in a fatal spot in one shot. Clearly above average shooting, and thus breaking the law she is
defending.

Comprehension Check:
1) George Bergeron had trouble thinking about anything for any period of time since he had a device in his ear that would send burst of loud sounds into his ear that would scatter his thoughts at random intervals.
2) The purpose of the gear that Harrison wears is to prevent him from being stronger, smarter, have better sight, hearing, looks, and numerous other attributes, then the average human.
3) Diana Moon Glampers shoots Harrison because he removed his gear and proved that he was better then the average human, thus breaking the law.

Thinking Critically:
2) Harrison's rebellion reveals that he isn't a submissive person and that he shuns suppression.
3) I feel no sympathy towards George, is a blundering fool for submitting to such cruelty, and does not deserve his 'advance knowledge' since he is putting it in no use. Hazel, on the other hand, I feel great sympathy for. Hazel sees how pointless this all his and suggest that George remove some of the weights or rest for a bit, yet he rejects such a suggestion.
5) Vonnegut is trying to portray how hampered society would be if they where all equal, and as such, people shouldn't be restrained and should be free to be different. You aren't helping others by making them equal, you are just suppressing there natural adaptations and build up and preventing any advancements from being made in the human species.
6) Considering that they story would thus end there, the plot would not have changed as much. Yet instead of the hope that others would see this and rebel, the hope will be changed to that of one that they would escape and that they would eventually gain more followers and rebel and crush such a corrupted government.
Vocabulary in Action:
Part A:
1) In Vonnegut's vision of the future, intelligent people hear loud noises in fitting radios that hurt their ears and make them wince.
2) The ballerina is very strong and beautiful. She seems luminous, or glowing with an inner light.
3) As Harrison and the ballerina dance, they begin synchronizing their movements.
4) Harrison Bergeron does not let the handicaps he is fitted with be a hindrance to him.
5) If Diana Moon Glampers approached you with a shotgun, would you cower and tremble in fear?

Part B:
1. Dismay, terror, consternation
2. Equilibrium, symmetry, proportion.
3. Calibrated, gradated, measured.
4. Acuity, vigilance, diligence.
5. Indistinct, unclear, vague.
10 Question and Answers:

A5) The father is handicapped by having a radio transmitter placed in his ear that randomly sends burst of loud sounds that scatter his thoughts.
Q6) Why do these humans mindlessly submit to such idiotic and flawed logic?
A6) These humans submit to such flaw since they lack the common sense, or at least some are prevented from such thought, to think and thus believe that by being equal, all conflict will be solved like the mindless sheep they are, for then again, sheep are to busy following to hurt another.
Q7) Should the general have shot Bergeron after his attempt at Anarchy?
A7) No, since that proved that she has a better aim then the average person, thus being above average, and thus breaking the law that she killed to preserve, and should then be shot herself.
Q cool Could Bergeron have been successful if he had not be shot on the stage?
A cool That question could be highly debated, it will most likely fail as the people are mindless enough to submit to such a state in the first place, then again, he could easily also be successful in getting them to follow him since they are such mindless sheep.
Q9) What was the purpose of the this story?
A9) The purpose of this story is to bring attention to the errors of complete equality, and that there is a copious amount of advantages to diversity in society.
Q10) How could these devices benefit society?
A10) The only advantage this could have on society is that eventually after years of devolution, the human race would eventually push itself to such a low state that it wouldn't be able to support itself and eventually become non-existing.
