I remember, a long time ago, when those like me used to KNOW what they really were. No secrets, no confusion, no lies. You were born as a demicreature or as a full, complete creature and you knew it and accepted it as well as everybody else.

But nowadays... ah... nothing's the same as before.

Look, I could just turn you into, let's say, a pile of dust and you wouldn't say it was because of me... well, if you could say anything at all being a pile of dust. No, you'd explain it all in a reasonable and boring way. Hard old-school science, not even space for quantum physics to explain that we are still among you and that our reality is simply slightly hidden from yours.

Oh, whatever... you just don't get it. Keep on your beliefs and make the work easier for the dark ones among us to feed on you or worse. When a vampire, lamia, outer space horror, angry specter, demon or any other nightmarish beast you can imagine comes from you, pray for your "reason" to come and save you, 'cause I won't.

The trouble is that you convince yourselves so well, that it gets contagious. Even we believe it. Even we doubt our sanity, our power. We forget what we are, we become undone. Or in the best of the cases we help you keeping our natures a secret as we’ve been doing it for decades now.

We're the biggest secret on Earth.
One day, you'll regret what you've done to us, to YOURSELVES, by inflicting this lie to the world.
