today a very funny person passed away, comedy legend george carlin. carlin was honestly the funniest comedian i have ever heard. i guess i 1st learned of him a few years ago, my brother had burned a "comedy CD" that he was listening to one night. i was listening with him, and the track turned to george carlins' "complaints and grievances". within a matter of minutes i was on the floor crying from laffing so hard, and gasping 4 air. roughly 6 months ago, i was home sick from school, so due to a mixture of boredom, and feelin shittyness, i thought "who was the guy on that CD a few years back, george carlin". i downloaded a bunch of his material, and was laffing my a** off all day. i kept listening to more and more of his comedy and quickly he was the funniest comedian i ever heard. since around the time i ws 10 years old, i was known as "the class clown" back then, and i liked it because i love the feeling of making ppl laff. overtime i had outgrown the class clown status, and then came this year the start of grade 9. my first year taking drama, and it quickly became my favorite class, i love acting, and this year was mostly comedy acting. it was during this year that i figured out wut i want to do in life, i want to be a comedic-actor. the big day came in drama class, the final monologue worth 20%, so i decided to use a george carlin bit as a monologue, and.......IT KILLED, EVERYONE WAS SHITTING THMESELVES (not literally) but still, i had done it. i made everyone laff more than i had all that year, and as i walked back to my seat i heard one of the girls say "can we see that again?". when i got bak the paper, i got a 97% on it. and i owe it all to george carlin. now that i hav learned how ot create big laffs, and since im writing a little bit of comedy, i want to be either a comedian, or an actor. now that i realize this, i owe it all to carlin, and so today we mourn the death of a comedy legend.
