AJ9 Journal
For a long time, I've kept dream journals, poetry journals, quotebooks, and now I have a prayer journal and all my email journals (MySp, FBook, and this one). Curious how people change through time.
Reflection: Bobcat Awakening #26, February 29-March 2, 2008, Texas State

Sunday, March 2, 2008:

I HAD to do something with my hair (I washed it out the night before, and it was really volumized), so I straightened it... mostly. I was one of the last girls to get out to breakfast b'c I was still cleaning up in front of the mirror.

I spent the beginning of the day coloring in my new prayer journal; so far, I wrote notes from every speaker, got signatures from my new family and friends, and drew / highlighted a bunch of things with markers to make it look colorful and pretty xd .

This day's speaker began with "levers". Her speech was awesome, and the activity really made me cry... seriously, I cried my eyes out. I can't say much, but I will say this: I received messages from many people, and some were more meaningful than others, no offense. I just mean that, when I read certain ones - ironically enough the ones that I saved to read at the end of my stack - I was so moved by what I read that I couldn't help but cry. I couldn't believe how much I meant to so many people, especially the ones I love. Perhaps most importantly was from my mom; my brother set that one up. (Funny, I still haven't received one from my sister, and she said she has one waiting for me; I wouldn't feel right if I had to ask for it).

Then we had another VERY important staff take on an entire skit for us, and it was the most glorious, moving, sensational, emotional, inspirational, powerful spiritual experience I had ever encountered. That's when I also met my BA Godparents!! Each family spent some time with their godparents to get to know as well as all their little secrets... awesome, lovely sneaky people.

Then the godparents joined their families for the final session, R & C Talk. The two speakers were funny people; they met at BA and are now married... go figure heart !! I liked their pyramid of cups; simple yet great analogy.

At the end of the day, we all gathered together for Sunday Mass. Our time had come to an end, but for many it was only the beginning...

The beginning of new relationships.
The beginning of new friends.
The beginning of many chapters with God.
The beginning of spiritual reconnnections.
The beginning of love.
The beginning of faith.
The beginning of peace.
The beginning of strength.
The beginning of a new start.
The beginning of LIFE.

As for me, I've found something I thought I had completely lost. I was an emotional and mental wreck before I went to Bobcat Awakening. God knew that, in my state of being at that point in time back in February of 2008, BA 26 was the most powerful thing to change my life back around. If I had gone to Bobcat Awakening my first semester at Texas State - Fall 2004, BA 19 - it would not have made AS BIG an impact on my outlook on life as this one had. In fact, I can say for sure that none of the BA's between 19 and 25 would have changed me as much as BA 26 had. I was delayed from BA for so long, and now I understand why.

I have made it my personal goal to get back to where I used to be before my life changed (Well, I can't 100%, but my goal is 99% back to how I was).

I want to go back to church on a regular basis.
I want to pray more.
I want to change the lives of others as mine has been changed.
I want to befriend those who are in need of a friend.
I want to put hope in those who have little or no hope.
I want to speak at a future BA someday and tell my personal story.
I want to participate in other Awakenings other than Bobcat Awakenings.
I want to someday join the sisterhood of Mu Epsilon Theta.
I want to create close bonds with those I have met on my journey through BA weekend.
I want to feel closer to God.
I want to know that I will always have my guardian angels to watch over me.
I want to see my dad in my dreams as often as I can.
I want to continually find pennies on the ground and see lights flicker when I travel b'c I know that's 'someone' telling me I am safe.

I got a ways to go. Wish me luck on my path towards spiritual peace and oneness with my God.

God Bless Always, my readers. heart
