While these rants are true for myself and for many others they are meant to be used entertainment only. Please do not plagarize my work. I spend a great deal of time working on my rants so that I may entertain everyone who reads them on Gaia. My rants will be posted in the forum each week as well as in my own blog. On another note, I am prepared to recieve criticisms on my work as it has been said many times before that you cannot always please everyone, but you will always please some of the people. I am hoping that those people will continue to come back and read my rants every week. I am aware that I will likely get flamed and that all of my rants will likely put me out on the chopping block figuratively, however, I am merely putting these issues out into the open and telling how much I dislike them. These are my own personal views with the occassional views of others included. Anyone who reads my rants is encouraged to send me their ideas to be seen in a future rant into my PM inbox. Rant 001 - Gaia Cash:

Gaia Cash. A wonderful invention, or pure evil? There was once a time when everyone on Gaia could only use gold to buy items. The only things which actual money was used for was to buy a Monthly Collectible. But then last year the Gaia Cash Shop opened up. Nowdays it seems like there are so many absolute Noobs who just go around buying Gaia Cash simply to sell the items off and get rich within 3 days of joining the site. What's up with that? So many veteran players have worked hard to get anything that they have and still actually end up scrapping the bottom of the Gaian economy, while rich, snobby noobs are coming into Gaia, buying items, and driving up prices on older items. This just makes it so that older players are having a tougher time raising any gold at all especially if they have no money. It's not even fair to those of us who worked our tails off. For instance, it took some people 8 months of playing puzzles or doing other such things to raise the gold to buy an item out of the marketplace. This just leaves them feeling accomplished, satisfied, and happy. Meanwhile, a noob somewhere goes out and buys $40 worth of Gaia Cash and buys the item in 2 hours. What the heck?!? It's not even cool man, I'm serious. What the heck is up with that?!? Why are there so many rich noobs running around trying to act like they own Gaia, it's not even right. Noobs are supposed to get their small amount and work their way up, they shouldn't be allowed to buy their way out of poverty because their parents can afford it or because they can in some cases. Furthermore, why so many new evolving items? One or two a month is fine. But it seems like there are two coming out every week now. WHY? It baffles me why they do this. I mean yes the money is going to a good place to fix up the site and all, but what are they going to do with it after all their site revisions are done? Where is the money going to go then? And by then where will the Gaia economy be? Prices have been risen up ever since that Cash Shop showed up. Items that once costed 100k went up to about 200k within a day. I am not even kidding. If you dont believe me go look it up. It happened. That Cash Shop is ruining the economy for those of us who can't buy Cash every single week. So what do we do? We play games and earn our gold as best as we can. Is that enough? No. By the time we have enough for an item it has doubled in price and some Noob is running around with it flaunting it in your face like they own the site. It's absolutely mind-boggling. Why? Why do noobs have to be that way? Then there's always the modest one or two who just own up to it and admit that they bought it with Cash that they bought by selling off the items. If you wanna see how ridiculous it can be, it can get bad. I saw a Noob running around with Kiki Kitty the other day. Now, for those of you who have been playing since this time last year even, you know how much a lot of use wanted that item and how bad it is to see a Noob holding one of those. And I know they were a Noob because I went to their page to see their join date and it was like a week ago. That's not cool. So in my opinion, I say slow down on the Cash Shop items Gaia and focus on putting some more items in the house shop and for male avatars. Because that's where we need the items. We are so low on those that it's not even funny. Anyways, this rant is getting too long. I'm gonna wrap it up with this. Is the Gaia Cash Shop really so great that it's just a spot where Noobs can get rich, or is it usable for a whole lot more. Who knows? It's up for you to decide.
