I remember that day, two years ago
It was raining, as it is now
It was windy, the wind like razers on my face
And I was alone, waiting for you

Many people walked by, and stared at me
As i stood there, i thought about this
If you had wanted to meet me here
Why had you not come

As I shuddered and started to walk home
You showed up, and looked confussed
You asked me "why are you leaving?"
And all I could do is smile and say "I was a bit cold is all"

You came over to me and said "I'm sorry I was late, I had to get ready"
I chuckled "Ready? You don't look like you had been preparing"
Then you laughed and said "I wasn't preparing my clothing"
"Then what?"

Then you leaned over, hugged me and said "A little present for you"
Then you took from your pocket a small red velvet box
You gave it to me, and i opened it to find
A bright diamond ring

Then I leaned over and kissed you
We stood in the rain together, and i smiled
I had wanted this for a long time, and i was going to get it
As we stood together, in the rain
