AJ9 Journal
For a long time, I've kept dream journals, poetry journals, quotebooks, and now I have a prayer journal and all my email journals (MySp, FBook, and this one). Curious how people change through time.
Shadow Behind a Stranger

You resist to interfere,
Yet can't help but overhear,
"We should be the only ones,
But you're not part of the peer."

Water trickles down your cheek
Once you believe you're a freak.
Scarring kissers rot your ears.
Artsy fingers draw you weak.

You seek, you yearn, you make haste
To have a sweet's luscious taste.
Devour all in wholesome bites.
You call it comfort, disgrace.

You long to write your last will,
For within it you shall spill,
"Send a letter to each name
Listed. They're in for a chill."

Inside the noted they'll read,
"You followed a wrongful creed.
Ignorant, you betrayed me,
Summoned me to death indeed."

(2) This poem is missing the last stanza from its original documentation because the Poetry.com contest only allowed for 21 lines or less;
