Isaiah, ran down the street with his radio going crazy with the white noise. He reached a dead end. "Crap," he said as he looked around for a way out. He noticed an apartment building that was surrounded by fencing. He ran to the fence and opened the gate. Suddenly, the monsters stopped in their tracks and they began to walk away. The white noise from the radio began to subside. Isaiah gasped and tried to catch his breath. "Why did they stop chasing me? I better not jinx it by asking." He had no choice but to go inside of the apartment building. He opened the door, and went inside. He came to the lobby of the apartment building. It dark inside of the building. A little too dark for a building with no lights. The windows were badly boarded up, there was little light coming inside from the outside, the stairs were all rusted, and it was damp. Isaiah looked around. "I could probably leave through the other side of the apartment building," he said. He tried to open the door to the other side of the room, but it was locked. "Looks like I have to check somewhere else," he said looking up at the stairs. He began to climb them.He reached the third floor. and he went through a door. It led to a hallway, there was a dark hallway to his left and to the right there were bars blocking the hallway. He looked beyond the bars at his feet was a key. "Maybe I could reach it." He got on the floor and stretched out to reach it. Suddenly, someone kicked the key further and then stepped on his hand. "Ow, dammit." He saw a little girl walk off. "Haha," she turned back and said as she walked away. "Wait, come back," he yelled out to her, but she didn't come back. He rubbed his hand and looked down the hall. "Who the hell was that?"He turned around and took the path in the dark hallway. He went in one of the rooms. He couldn't at all. He felt around the walls and he felt holes. "Holes?" he said as he sniffed the walls, which smelled like used gun powder. "Bullet holes?". He looked around the room as his eyes adjusted to the darkness. He saw a shopping cart in the middle of the room. He looked inside it and there was a handgun on the child seat and some ammo boxes next to it. He picked the gun up and he took out the magazine. "Its loaded," he said. He took the ammo boxes and put it in his coat pocket. He tossed the wooden plank to the side. He left the room with the gun in his hand. He left the third floor and he went down to the second floor. He went deeper into the hallway and he came to a room at the end and he went inside. He saw light, it was a pocket flashlight shining from a dress hanging on a dummy. He took the flashlight from the dress and put it on his breast pocket. He looked at the dress and it looked oddly familiar. It was a pink dress. It had a pink blouse and it had a white skirt with floral patters on it. He looked at it and he chuckled. "You know, that dress looks just like the one Valerie wore when we came here in vacation," he said chuckling at the similarity. Suddenly, a monster rose to its feet behind the dummy. It was like the ones he saw on the street only these had no head nor hands. The had legs on both sides of their body. Isaiah, began to shoot it until it died. He left the room and he came to the three way hallway. when he got there he heard a noise. It came from the hallway going north. He went forward to see what the noise was. He came to the end of the room and he was more bars blocking the hallway. The radio began to emit the loudest white noise off all. Beyond the bars he saw another monster. Only this one had a giant helmet shaped like a pyramid. and he carried a large knife. He stared at it and it just seemed to stare back. Then it turned around and left. He was too scared to say anything. He took the door that was to his right. He saw someone sitting on the couch watching t.v. He came closer to him and he noticed the man was dead. "My god, who could have..." Then he realized the monster with the pyramid helmet. "He probably did it. I better get out soon." He went into the next room and he saw a grandfather clock. He looked at it and he saw writing on the sides of it. "'The nails of time hinder your path, for only when the time comes will the path be revealed' I wonder what that means." He felt a breeze on the side of the clock and he tried to push it. But it didn't budge. He looked at the clock and saw that the hands have stopped and he turned around and he saw scratches on the wall. It looked like arrows. He looked at the arrows and then at the clock. He got an idea. He turned the hands of the clock to match the direction of the arrows. He heard a click. Then he tried to push the clock again and this time he succeeded. It revealed a narrow opening on the wall and he walked through it and he left the room. He was on the other side of the bars that were blocking the way. He headed for the door that was at the end of the hallway and he went through it. . . .
