Songfic to Carrie Underwood's Just A Dream. Read and review!!
It was two weeks after the day she turned 18
All dressed in white, going to the church that night
Ginny Weasley was getting married today, to her childhood crush, Harry James Potter. She was already in her wedding dress, waiting to go to the church. She couldn't wait!
She had his box of letters in the passenger seat,
Six pence in a shoe, something borrowed, something blue
Her mother had given her a light blue crown that she would wear on her head. It was borrowed, and it was blue. Harry's letters were on the seat next to her. He was on a mission for the Order, but in his last letter, he had said he would be there for the wedding.
When the church doors, opened up wide
she put ehr veil down, trying to hide the tears,
she just couldnt believe it
She couldn't believe she was finally getting married. She had tears in her eyes, tears of happiness. Soon she would be Mrs. Ginerva Potter!
She heard the trumpets from the military band
and the flowers fell out of her hand
No. They couldn't be here! The only reason they would have come is if Harry hadn't made it. She let go of the flowers, and raced out of the church.

everybody's saying hes not coming home now

This is just a dream
Ginny got in her car, and drove home, sobbing. She collapsed on the bed, and placed one hand on her belly. She had planned on telling her family at the wedding about the baby she was carrying, but now, it seemed like she wouldn't get the chance to tell Harry. No, Harry wouldn't know...
The preacher man said let us bow our heads and pray
"Lord please lift his soul, and heal this hurt."
Ginny sat in the church she would have been married in, and whispered her own little prayer. "Harry, if you could hear me, I'd like you to know...I'm having a baby. I hope it's a boy, so it will be just like you..."
Then the congregation all stood up and sang
the saddest song, that she'd ever heard
As they sang, Ginny felt the tears come to her eyes. They sang of bravery, of love, of peace. They sang of the land above, of happiness, of joy.
Then they handed her a folded up flag
and she held on to all she had left of him
oh, and what would have been
Ginny clutched the flag they had given her. She couldn't believe that she was gone. She thought of what might have happened. They would have grown old together, raised their children together, and die together. that was what could have been.
then the guns rang on last shot
and it felt like, a bullet to her heart.
As she heard the ringing of the gunshot echo in the cemetary, she felt a pain in her heart. He was gone, and she was left alone, carrying his baby, and he wouldn't even know...She was alone...
