Dordogne, France
Breakfast: Same as usual.
Long bus ride to Limoges, an artisan town famous for their porcelain. Bought my parents 2 porcelain tea saucers. Next, on to Oradour-sur-Glane. There was a memorial museum dedicated to these people that were massacred by Nazis. In World War II, there was a town of innocent French people and the Nazis came in and just randomly killed all of them off. They kept the ruins of the town in remembrance too. It was really sombre and quiet.
Unfortunately, I got lost and didn't get to see much of the ruins. My group just up and abandoned me. I wandered around the museum until I eventually started crying on a bench. Eventually a French couple came up and tried to help me. They spoke English and told me how to get to the ruins. When I started walking around in the ruins, I got even more scared because it felt like I was just in a big maze and everything was eerily quiet.
Fortunately, I didn't walk long before I was found by Alex's mom and she calmed me down and helped me get with everybody.
Next we went to Poitiers for a brief lunch stop.
Lunch: -quiche Lorraine xp
-ice cream 4laugh
After that we took a really long (don't know how long) bus ride to the Loire Valley to stay at a Holiday Inn.
On the ride there, I got bored and took out an American $1 bill I had with me to look at it, and it made me sad and homesick for the States. Dinner was at a restaurant 15 minutes away from the hotel.
Dinner: -Shrimp & cheese xp (gave it to Mike)
-Med. rare steak and potatoes heart blaugh heart (like an orgasm on a plate I tell you!)
-Fluffy raspberry cake blaugh
Early curfew tonight so not much left to do with everyone.
