his shirt open to allow air flow. Sojiro chuckled and said, "Hey, its not that hot, is it?" Shizuki looked up at
him like he was crazy. "U-um, yeah. I-if you haven't figured it out, its r-r-really hot!" Sojiro frowned when
Shizuki finished. Machante and Ibara had both been working on his speech impediments. For him to resort back to it
now...
"Hey, Shizuki." Sojiro said softly. Shizuki perked up and sat up slowly. "Yes, Kag-er... Sojiro-kun?"
Sojiro cleared his throat, then looked from Machante, back to Shizuki. "There's no problem. Don't let last night's
terror ruin who you are. We'll figure out whats going on, and fix it, understand?" Shizuki nodded, and sat back.
"I know that, its just... I-its really hot! Can we go wait somewhere else? B-besides, I'm too hungry to wait
for Take-Ryu..." Sojiro frowned, and turned to Machante. It looked like she was stressed out enough, and probably
fed up with this heat. It wasn't safe for them to venture out like that, but...
"Fine. We'll go, just don't talk to anybody. We don't wanna cause a commotion. Just stay together, and don't use
any Jutsu. Leave your weapons concealed too. Take-Ryu will find his way back to me. I'll just have to emit a
couple pulses every now and then. Alright... Lets move!"
Sojiro waved his hand, and the Bamboo wall slinked into the ground. As he and the other two stood, they felt a cool
breeze which had not been felt before. After taking a second to enjoy it, they embarked out of the alleyway and
into the unknown streets.

Mikyo heard a familiar scratching sound as the Metal Spider scurried up the side of the warehouse. He caught a new
sound. Slithering? Followed by more scratching. "Sojiro and Akira are both alive." Mikyo smiled through his
mask while hearing the three scale the wall. As he turned and saw them climb through the window, Ibara sat up.
The metal spider climbed up Mikyo's leg, past his arms and up his chest. The spider seemed to melt away as he re-
formed into Mikyo's column. Zuzu rose so he could get a good look of the warehouse, and the Bamboo dragon hopped
over to see Ibara. It squeaked happily, seeing a familiar face, and it nestled into his pant leg. Ibara smiled,
then looked over to Zuzu. "Is Machante and Shizuki ok?" Zuzu nodded, then motioned over to Take Ryu. "He saysss
they are both fine." Ibara sighed in relief, being assured that his loved ones were alright. Mikyo on the other
hand, stood up. "We're leaving. You two, lead the way. Ibara, come. We need to get back to the
others. Once we round them up, we come back here. We'll use this place until we can get back to our normal lives,
that is, if we ever can." The group busted the window, and the glass shattered from the inside out. One by one,
they ran unseen onto the city streets, using shadows and the overcast of the clouds above as cover.

The lights flashed on, and Akayashi's eyes felt pain as she flinched, trying to see in the bright light. She was
sure to recieve a slap or a punch, but nothing. As her eyes strained to see who had entered, she caught a familiar
scent. "Your..." She started, but was interrupted by the Janitor's chuckle. "Heh heh. You some kinda owl? You
don't seem to like the light much." She growled, then spat out, "I was trying to adjust to it! You would do the
same!" The Janitor held his hands up as if he had been caught doing something wrong. "Easy, easy! It was only a
joke." He returned to his mop and picked it up, letting it drip for a minute, then he slammed it on the floor. He
started to wash the floor, leaning over his mop handle like it was a cane. He spoke low, so it would appear he was
just working. "So, whats your name?" Akayashi averted her eyes, and whispered her name aloud. The man smiled,
then said, "Well, Akayashi. I must say, you've got the brightest and reddest hair out've anyone I've ever seen."
She stared at him, without knowing it. He couldn't see it, but her cheeks were reddened under the machine. All of
a sudden, the machine didn't feel that cold anymore. "Th...Thanks... Uhm... Your... hair is... the shortest I've
seen?" She wasn't talking correctly. She really hadn't found anything good about the guy. His skin color was dark
and he looked old and unshaven. She expected a scowl, and got a laugh as he threw his head back for a second and
cackled. Then he returned to his work. "Ha, that's a good one. No need to tell me how bad I look, you know? I'm
aware." Akayashi smiled, even though it was under these kind of circumstances. "Well, I'm Morrie. Morrie Due. And
if there is at all anything I can Due for you, lemme know." He put emphasis on his last name twice, smiling at his
own joke. Akayashi could only smile more, seeing his lameness and his smile all in one just made it unusually calm.
"Could you... Um. Could you stay for a little while? I don't want to be left alone again..." Morrie looked away,
seeming suddenly grim. "I'm sorry... But these floors aren't gonna wash themselves..." Akayashi lowered her eyes,
knowing that she had asked too much of him already. He spoke up again, suddenly a smile on his face. "Which is why
I must pay extra attention to this room in particular..."
