I was considering not even calling this a chapter because of its shortness. The following chapter is merely to foreshadow the future enemies of the Oni Shinobi.

9 lights flashed on in the dark room, a suited person standing on each light that took the shape of a circle. Their faces were darkened, and could not be seen. The only noticable feature was the fact that they all wore business suits and had different shaped and colored canes. At the top of the circle, a hologram instead of a person came into view. That light only illuminated the shadow that began speaking. "This meeting has been called for the following reason: The Rip Portal was a success, and brought back an entire village. Our men took care of most of the inhabitants, but a few escaped. These six are perhaps the biggest threat, so we'll need to take them out soon..."
Right as his last sentence began, a screen turned on in the middle of them, and each peered down to look at the picture. It showed Sojiro, Shizuki, and Machante running through busy sidewalks, crossing streets, dangerously dodging cars and other pedestrians. "We lost the other three, but our men are out looking for them. They'll be caught in a matter of hours." The screen shifted to another picture, this time one of Akayashi in her restraints. "This girl was the seventh inhabitant still alive. We caught her easily. She has a metal-manipulative ability. As you can see, she's not going anywhere. So... What should be done with her, and the other six once we catch them?"
A man with a green cane shook his head. "Pfft. Its obvious... We kill them. They are the only threat that can match us. Why keep them alive? A simple bullet to the head and their so called 'jutsu' will be useless, just like their corpses."
Another with a blue cane laughed like a madman. "You Jest! Its idiocy to destroy a goldmine! We use the statue! Rip their powers from their bodies! I'm sure they've a few demons we can use!"
The 'green cane' man snapped his head towards the 'blue cane' man. "Such arrogance! I'll kill you!"
The blue cane man laughed maniacally a second time. "Try it, ********!"
"ENOUGH!" A purple aura surrounded the shadow that was leading the meeting. "We will have order, or it will be you two who will face the statue's wrath..."
The two arguing immediately lowered their heads and said in unison: "Gomen..." (Sorry)
The shadow turned to a red-caned man who was shuffling papers. "Your data? What does it say of the seven?" The red cane looked up with a nervous laugh, then spoke hesitantly. "Well... ah... Its too early to say without any testable subjects, but... We can use them. I checked their profiles in the documents we secured from them... and... They all possess inner biju."
"What?!"
"Are you serious?!"
"Hehehehe! Told you, ********!"
"Either way..." The red caned man continued. "There's no need to rush in our decisions. All the demons are dormant. Whats more, is that the strongest of the inner demons is not among the escapees yet. There's an eighth shinobi with a biju, and he has not yet shown himself yet..."
The shadow closed his eyes for a few moments, then opened them. "All in favor of killing the village survivors?" No one moved. "So its settled then. We'll capture them and take their techniques and demons. Agreed?"
"Agreed."
The entire room goes black as the meeting ends...
