A girl named Rachael has developed a taste for murder and will stand at nothing to become a college professor's assistant.
This stuck pig of a movie flails limply between bizarre comedy and pallid horror.- BBC
The first mistake, I suspect, is casting Shatner as a legendary professor and Kunis as a brilliant college student--where's Pauly Shore as the rocket scientist? - Film Freak Central
It's another stale, kill-by-numbers flick, complete with blade-thin characters and terrible, pun-laden dialogue. - FilmCritic.com
One of the oddest and most inexplicable sequels in movie history. - Vue Weekly
The bears little more resemblance to the original than the name, and for all that the first movie was outstanding, this one is the opposite.
What we are dealing with here is a 'Clueless' clone. Mila Kunis never passes the test of coming off like a serial killer, even given the unlikely childhood events that we are forced to swallow at the start.
Kunis is very pretty to look at, but this is truly vacuous stuff and ends up being more Scream than Psycho. If Christian Bale was dead, he would be turning in his grave, of that I'm sure.
A good story, murdered.
