"So, this is what it's like in Sinnoh, huh?"
"Beautifly, beautifly!"
"Hmn~ I suppose. Well, we should look around Sunyshore so we can get the feel of this place." Said May to her Beautifly.
Sunyshore was beautiful, just like all the other places she's been to in previous times with Ash. This time though, Ash was not with her. He had traveled to Sinnoh before and now he's on a completely different region. It was just like him, many said. He was always on the move, wanting to be a Pokemon Master and to defeat new gym leaders. May, however, took the path of coordinator, the beauty of contests were more appealing than the roughness of battles. She battled, of course, she just prefered showing off moves rather than using it against other pokemon. She had become one of the Top 8 in Hoenn and Top 4 in Kanto. Now, she had 3 in Johto but, she decided to leave Johto for a bit and go to Sinnoh and take up the Grand Festival. A sudden "guest" appearance wouldn't hurt, after all.
"Beautifly, let's stop here~ I think we should bring out everybody first." She offered, stopping near a bench, sitting down, and let out her other pokemon. One by one, May's pokemon appeared. "Hey guys, are you hungry?" --replies of various pokemon-- "Well, here you go! I restocked before we got here, so eat up!" She smiled, pouring food into different bowls.
Skitty, the energetic cat, chased after it's tail and then realized something near the bench. Curious, she poked at the paper with her nose and then picked it up and ran to May, rubbing against her leg.
"Nyaaah~" Skitty purred, ramming it's head into May's leg. May picked her up and took the paper out of her mouth.
"What's this?" May wondered, unraveling the crumpled paper. "...Oh! It's for the contest here! That's great, then we all can get to the Grand Festival here sooner~ Who's up for it guys?" May asked enthusiatically. Her pokemon replied happily, giving all the more reason to smile. "Great! We'll register later."
Of course, it would be right after she ate. After all, she needed something to eat before a contest. Passing out would not be such a good idea in any case.
"A good trainer doesn't go into an adventure without eating!" Said a voice from a distant past.
"...Brenden?" She murmured, shaking her head. "He always said some weird stuff...wonder what my rival's up too~" She giggled, picking up her stuff and walked over to the contest arena. She knew he probably made it as far as Ash, being such a headstrong trainer and all and being the son of Prof. Birch, he probably wanted to find out about a lot of pokemon and challenge gym leaders, and blah blah blah. Boys were always so impatient! Ash, Breden, Drew, it didn't matter where they were, they were always so reckless.
A gnawing void filled May's stomach, a feeling of worry washing over her. "I...I hope he's okay." She murmured, wondering if he really was okay.
Hopefully, he would be. Brenden wouldn't be that reckless.
