I'm posting David's poem:
Momma says beware
Daddy says nothing, just shoots me a glare.
My heart races when I see your name
Each time I react the same.
Momma says let me talk
Or you'll have to walk.
His momma don't know
Or else he'd be a no-show.
We're just like Romeo and Juliet
Except for how we met.
Two young adults in love
Standing tall together, despite push and shove.
You won't go away
When I open my eyes one day.
I won't find it's all in my dreams
And was nothing like how it seems.
You won't be gone
Leaving me with the echoing refrains of a love song!
I still love you David. Though you know that already.
