You've probably noticed that we've only got 1000 pages or thereabouts until the big One Oh Oh Oh Oh and we thought it would be nice to celebrate the event with a party.
To give everyone a chance to participate, the party will last from page 10,000 until page 10,100 so if you're not about when we hit the mark, don't despair, you've not missed the festivities.

To make it a bit more festive and get everyone into the spirit of the thing, we're going to dress up but we won't be dressing ourselves . . .



We will be having a Secret Stylist party. It's a bit like Secret Santa but rather than having to buy someone a present, you design an avatar for them and have one designed for you.
And remember; this is a Secret Stylist event. You're not allowed to tell anyone who you're tekteking and you're not allowed to ask who's doing you until the party and even then you don't have to say until the prize voting starts. If you have any questions, PM them to Risu the Troll who will be orchestrating the whole thing. If you've got any questions for the person you're doing the tektek for, like 'can I change the hair?', PM those to Risu too and your friendly troll will get the answer for you because you wouldn't want your person finding out through the thread.



We're going to do the designs in tektek because it's easiest that way.
Everyone will make a Tektek Environment (I'll explain how to do this later on). Once yours is done, PM it to Risu the Troll who will send it to the person you'll be tekteking and you'll be PMed with someone else's environment.
You then have 200 pages to design a party avatar for that person (don't worry if you're a bit late, just send Risu your design as soon as possible after the 200th page). Party avatar can be anything you like but you mustn't use any items from outside the environment. It also has to layer properly on Gaia because someone will be wearing it eventually so if you're not sure if your design will
We considered dressing up as each other or designing costumes for each other but money was an issue whereas this way, it's free!
You can ask for your skin and hair to be kept the same and, if you want, allow your designer some extra funds to buy stuff which would look awesome but you don't own (because those all cost money) but that's it. You can't ask for a theme or a colour or anything else, it's completely up to the person doing the design.


Environments

An Environment is like a tektek but it's only got your stuff in it.
Follow this link to the Calculate Worth page. It might not look right but it's what you need.
Follow the instructions on the screen. If you can't find the 'View' bit on your toolbar, right click on your inventory and there should be an option to 'View Source'. Do that and carry on to step 3.
Click 'Calculate Worth' and wait for the next screen to load. It should tell you how much gold you are worth and give you a list of items.
At the bottom of the top box, above the item list, click 'Create tektek+ Avatar'.
The next page should look like tektek. Pick your skin, hair, mouth and eyes and then go to the 'Items' tab. You'll notice that it doesn't have all of the items which tektek usually has, it just has your stuff. Pick one item, it can be anything, and put it on your avatar, then click 'Save Avatar' and it will tall you 'tektek+ Avatar Created!'.
Copy the URL into your browser bar and go to it. Pick another item and add it to your avatar and save again.
Now you can copy either the 'Code' or the 'Price List Code (with avatar)' and PM it to Risu who will make sure it works.

This will now be sent to the person who will be tekteking you and you'll get one for someone else.
If you've been given permission to add things, use the 'tektek+ Override' bar at the bottom to look for them by name.

If you're having trouble creating or using an Environment PM Risu who will try to help you.
Remember that if an item has multiple poses, tektek will let you add all of them to an avatar, even if the person only actualy has one so please only use each item once unless you know the person you're doing has more than one of it.


Time Limits





PM your Environment to Risu the Troll between page 9550 and 9650.
Then you have from page 9650 - 9850 to do your tektek.
After page 9850, PM your tektek to Risu the Troll who will pass it on to the person receiving it and you'll get yours back.
Don't start wearing your costume until page 10,000 and keep it on until page 10,100.


Prizes and Categories

Yes, there will be prizes for your designs so make sure they're the best you can make. You've got 200 pages so you should have plenty of time to make something really good.
For now the categories will be secret, so nobody has to try making anything which fits a specific theme and we can all just design whatever we want.

Designer of best outfit - 8k
???? - 4k
???? - 4k
???? - 4k
???? - 4k

Still taking suggestions so if you've got an idea, tell me and I'll add it or put it to a vote.

And a special prize, courtesy of Gorn:
"If for some reason we are still on this riddle at 10k, I'll let the winner of overall have three y/n questions, to be asked consecutively."

As for raising the funds . . .
For the moment, I'm going to say no chipping in, I'll raise the money myself. That way, nobody loses anything and there won't be too much contention about prizes. I could imagine people contributing and wanting more voting power than everyone else or thinking that contributing gives them the right to argue about who wins or believing that others have been given preferential treatment because they contributed to the prize pot.
I'm not saying anyone here is going to do that but I fear that there are people who would.
