The wolf and the raven both similar in art
could never be much farther apart
In the paths they walk and the and the ways they give
themselves to fate but meet they did
For a short time they conversed
and contemplated whose fate was worse
"Set apart from those you love"
the raven harked from above
"if then what i heard was true
then lonely is the being who
through fate was meant to sacrifice
companionship and give his life
For protection of family, to love alone
to not know the meaning of the word home"
The wolf lay as he gave his reply
"an interesting quip from one who flies
an yet is caged by threads of fate.
A messenger of death and woe
and it would seem be many's foe
such a heavy burden to bear
the malice inside every stare
and yet you still continue to fly
until it is your turn to die"
The raven then cocked its head
then looked to the wolf and said
"since you know so much i'll ask
If you are up to the task
were it you that i was after
and we skipped this idle chatter
would you be like all the rest
and hate me with scorning looks till death?"
The wolf got up and said as he left
"no, i wouldn't seek your death."
and faded back into the mist
as the raven flew off to think of this.
