Pleaz, pleaz, PLEAZZZ comment after you read my stories!!! I luv comments.
Furuba Cinderella
I'd like explain that I was bored out of my mind and just decided to make a parody story. Basiclly this is what it is....I was looking around on Deviantart and found a Fruits Basket drawing titled "Cinderella". So I decided to do that.....but modified for my own enjoyment. Here are the characters:
Cinderella=Yuki
Prince Charming=Tohru
Wicked Stepmother=Akito
Wicked Stepsister #1=Motoko Minagawa
Wicked Stepsister #2=Minami Kinoshita
Grand Duke=Makoto Takei
King=Hatsuharu
Queen=Rin
Fairy Godmother=Kagura

Enjoy! Remember this is a oneshot, so it might be crappy but oh well. Oh and I'm more used to Akito being a guy so he's a guy in this. P.S. In reality, I respect the canon pairing of Tohru/Kyo. It's just Yuki seems like the perfect Cinderella and I haven't known Machi that long yet. And I know how Yuki's parents really treat him. The mother that liked him is just for the story, unfortunately. Oh well.

WARNINGS: Crappy author (in author's opinion) and some cross-dressing.

Part 3: The Ball
The carriage pulled up at the palace gates. Yuki watched them arrive in wonder. The palace was so beautiful up close. "Remember what she said." the coachman told him as Yuki stepped out. "I know." Yuki said, nervously fidgeting with his sleeve. "Be back by midnight." He walked towards the castle and waved to the carriage as he left.
Meanwhile, inside the palace, Tohru was still wondering what she should go down in. She and her handmaidens (Uotani and Hanajima) did agree on a lovely wide-skirt, strapless gown but Tohru saw men coming in in dresses as well and was starting to consider coming downstairs in a suit.
Uotani lifted the suit and held it up to eye view so she could kind of see how it looked on the princess. She smiled and said, "Not bad. I think it compliments her body well." Hanajima looked for herself and smiled. "I agree." "Tux it is." Uotani smirked handing it to Tohru.
Tohru accepted and quickly slipped into it. "I'll wear the first choice if you'd like." Hanajima suggested. "Go ahead, Hana-chan." Tohru smiled at her. Hanajima nodded and began to get herself into the elaborate ball gown.
Uotani jumped when a knock was heard. "WHADDA YA WANT!!!???" she snarled. Makoto Takei poked his head in and said, "We're ready to introduce Her Highness." he said quickly before retreating before Uotani could kill him.
Meanwhile, Yuki glanced around the ball room in awe. Never had he seen something so beautiful. He accepted the mask that someone offered him, surprised because he never heard that it was a masquerade. He quickly slipped it on before Akito, Matoko and Minami could recognize him.
Yuki wandered to another part of the ballroom when Makoto Takei appeared. "Young bachelors of the realm, I would like to introduce to you to the princess..." he announced. "Princess Tohru Honda!" Tohru came down the grand stairway, smiling at the crowd that gathered.
Uotani and Hanajima followed close behind. "Young bachelors," Uotani barked. "Present yourselves!" A line of men formed, eager to have the princess' hand. They came to the first man. Uotani scoffed and sneered, "Loser." Tohru shook her head and said, "I'm so sorry." The man hung his head and wandered back to his original spot.
The next was a huge-muscled man. Hanajima looked at him and said, "Jock." "Friggin' brainless monkey!" Uotani snarled. Tohru shook her head and apoligized again. Suddenly, Motoko and Minami appeared in line.
"You're not guys, what're you doin' here?" Uotani questioned them. "We came to offer our father." Motoko said with a wink. Uotani imagined an old man and hacked a little. Akito stepped forward and kissed Tohru's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you in person, your majesty."
"It's a pleasure to meet you t-" Tohru started until she saw Yuki. Yuki was leaning against the wall and glancing dreamily out the window. "Excuse me." Tohru said, walking through the line and towards Yuki. "Princess?" Akito said, turning to follow her with his eyes. He saw Yuki and his eyebrows furrowed. Where did he see him before?
"Hello." Tohru greeted Yuki. Yuki jumped a bit and turned quickly. He blushed a little. To think that the princess actually came up to talk to him. "H-Hello!" he stammered. "Follow me." Tohru said, taking a hold of Yuki's wrist and pulling him into the garden.
Queen Isuzu looked up from her throne and saw Tohru and Yuki. She immediately whacked King Hatsuharu upside the head. "Wake up!" she barked. King Hatsuharu jerked up in his throne and asked, "What? What?" Queen Isuzu adjusted his head so he could see Princess Tohru lead Yuki into the garden. "I think she made her choice." Queen Isuzu said with a smile.
Yuki just kept his head down. You wouldn't beleive how nervous he was. His face was almost cherry red from blush and he couldn't bring himself to look up at the Princess. Tohru turned and smiled at him. "I don't think I've ever seen you in the village before." she said. "Are you from a different kingdom?"
Yuki didn't know what to say. He just decided to tell the truth. "N-No." he stammered. "I-I-I'm from this kingdom." Tohru smiled brighter and said, "Then I wasn't looking in the right places, was I?" Yuki blushed even harder.
Tohru suddenly snatched Yuki from underneath his arms and lifted him up onto a railing so he was now looking down at her. "You're so lovely." Tohru smiled up at him. "Did anyone ever tell you that?" Yuki was surprised and his entire skin turned completely red. He nearly fell off of the railing. "N-No, no one ever told me that."
Tohru was appalled. "What a crime!" she gasped. Yuki blushed harder and nearly fell off again. Luckily, Tohru was there to pull him back up. She helped him back down and took a hold of his hand. "Would you care to dance?" she asked him.
Yuki had a hard time finding his voice again and just nodded. Tohru led and the two danced beautifully. Much to Motoko and Minami's jealousy. "Lucky!" Motoko sneered. "Him, instead of Akito?" Minami wondered. "Why?"
Yuki's blush let up a little and he laid his head on Tohru's shoulder with a dreamy smile. He held her close and spun with her. Suddenly, Yuki jumped when he heard the clock toll midnight. "Ah!" he gasped. "I-I have to get going! Goodbye!" Yuki dashed off and Tohru shouted after him, "Wait! Come back!"
Yuki couldn't stay. He ran as fast as he could but stumbled once when one glass shoe went flying. He was about to go back for it when a toll of midnight stopped him. He just left it behind and jumped into the pumpkin carriage.
Tohru came up and watched the carriage drive away. With a sigh, she glanced down to see the glass slipper. She picked it up and stared at it for a while. Eventually, she smiled. This was her way of finding him again.
Yuki walked back inside. Kagura was right. After midnight, everything went back to the way they were when he last left them. He placed the pumpkin on the counter. It seemed a waste to leave it in the road when it was ripe. After dressing in his usual turtleneck and jeans, he went back to work. Oh well. He may never see her again, but he kept his promise to Kagura. He had a good time.
