She was a normal woman until becaming the next Catwoman after a near-death experience. Selina gained the powers from the Egyptian cat goddess Bastet through a gathering of cats led by an Egyptian Mau. like many other women in the past who have been granted such cat-like abilities.

Use to just be a normal girl who was the daughter of some rich family until she was five and she found herself digging around into the occult, finding something to reassure her, she was starting to be able to read people's thoughts, something she really didn't desire to do. One day when she ten, some kids had cornered her and beat her up; at this point she desired nothing more then revenge. She then came across a egyptian cat goddess and started to prey to this beautiful goddess asking for her help.
Becareful what you ask for, a cat soon started showing up where ever she went, eventually she named him Arthos, Then one night... she had a really weird dream and when she awoke the cat was there on her chest and from that day forward shes been a side show freak. Shes not really sure what happened that night but clearly something happened and shes pretty sure it has something to do with Arthos.
After learning of her new found powers, she searched for people; anyone that was like her and she found "Catwoman". Not in person of course but in newspapers and on web blogs. She became kinda of a fan girl of her, wanting to be so much like her, though she could do without the whole theif thing. She also found herself a new found huge lust for a super hero that goes by the name of "Nightwing". Over the past three years, shes been trying to master her abilities to the best of her knowlage.

thought it was time to meet the real catwoman.
