The latest Nightmare evolution got my imagination all fired up, and here is the result. Was she caught up in the great undead plague? Was she a homeless girl, subject to horrific experiments in reanimating dead tissue? What happened to her eyes? What era is she from? How long has she been like this? Who are the two other dead children that accompany her? How did she get out? Whose arm is that? And most importantly, what does she intend to do now?
All these, and more, are questions to ponder. All we know is that she (and presumably, her companions) met a horrible end before their time, were restrained, and have now broken loose. And yes, that is the hand that fed her.
I've got a vague sort of story worked out for her: she's from London, probably somewhere in the 18th or 19th centuries. Like so many other street children, she was an orphan. The two other children might be her brother and sister, who she protects even in death; they might be other random orphans, captured for the same nefarious, inscrutiable purpose as her; they might be other members of her gang, who were killed, but did not rise again, as she did. Whatever the case, her tortured spirit was imprisoned in her rotting flesh, her eyes were torn out, and the two other ghost children were bound in a similar manner. But after many years, she has broken free. It is unknown whether she planned this, if it was an attack of opportunity, or if she is even capapble of thought at all. Now, she walks the world, possibly searching for those who did this to her. The two ghost children follow her. Some say they serve her, some say they help her out of love, some say they blame her for their deaths. I hope we never find out...
